PERAN PRODUSER DALAM PRODUKSI PROGRAM DOKUMENTER TELEVISI "WARISAN LELUHUR" EPS. TARI TOPENG CIREBON

Television documentaries are shows that are presented based on reality or events that are real - in fact and occur in the environment or around us. Documentary in addition to recording real events, is also used as a medium of information that has valid data. With the television documentary program, the author raises a documentary program that presents the history of culture and art. The author acts as a producer, in making documentary program work, the author leads the program making process from the pre-production to post-production stages. In this work the author chooses Tari Topeng Cirebon as a documentary discussion. Tari Topeng Cirebon has a characteristic that is implied in the masks used and movements that contain the meaning of life. In writing the report, the author uses several books and journals, especially in the realm of the producer's role. The purpose of writing this final project is to describe the role of the producer in the stages of making a documentary program and to explain the procedure for making a documentary program that raises the historical genre with expository type, and displays culture.

Dokumenter televisi adalah tayangan yang disajikan berdasarkan kenyataan atau kejadian yang senyata – nyatanya dan terjadi didalam lingkungan hidupa atau sekitar kita. Dokumenter selain merekam kejadian yang nyata, digunakan juga sebagai media informasi yang memiliki data yang valid. Dengan adanya program dokumenter televisi penulis mengangkat program dokumenter yang menyajikan sejarah kebudayaan serta kesenian. Penulis berperan sebagai produser, dalam pembuatan karya program dokumenter, penulis memimpin proses pembuatan program mulai dari tahap pra produksi hingga pasca produksi. Pada karya ini penulis memilih Tari Topeng Cirebon sebagai pembahasan dokumenter. Tari Topeng Cirebon memiliki ciri khas yang tersirat dalam topeng – topeng yang digunakan serta gerakan yang mengandung makna kehidupan. Pada penulisan laporan penulis menggunakan beberapa buku dan jurnal khusunya pada ranah peran produser. Tujuan penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peran produser pada tahap – tahap pembuatan program dokumenter serta menjelaskan prosedur pembuatan program dokumenter yang mengangkat genre sejarah dengan tipe expository, serta menampilkan kebudayaan.
