Permasalahan Proses Finishing Menjilid Lem Punggung Buku Pelajaran Menggunakan Mesin TSK di PT TEMPrint

Pasca Cetak dapat disebut juga penyelesaian grafika; merupakan kegiatan setelah Proses Cetak atau tahap akhir pengerjaan produk buku. Salah satunya, teknik penjilidan lem punggung dengan menggunakan lem panas. Tujuan penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah mengetahui proses dan permasalahan menjilid lem punggung Buku Pelajaran menggunakan Mesin TSK di PT TEMPrint serta mengetahui penyebab permasalahan dan solusi mengatasinya. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Observasi, Wawancara dan Studi Pustaka. Proses menjilid lem punggung Buku Pelajaran melalui lima tahap yaitu proses kolase, pengeleman, potong buku rata tiga sisi, sortir dan pengemasan. Ditemukan permasalahan seperti mesin mati saat proses Kolase katern, sampul tersendat saat proses pemasangannya berjalan, sampul melebihi blok buku dan suhu lem tidak panas secara maksimal. Simpulan dari tugas akhir ini menemukan faktor-faktor penyebab permasalahan yang terjadi dan solusinya karyawan PT TEMPrint harus lebih teliti dalam melaksanakan penjilidan lem punggung dalam semua aspek.

Post Press can also be called graphic completion; is an activity after the Press Process or the final stage of working on a book product. One of them is the perfect binding technique using hot glue. The purpose of writing this final project is to know the process and problems of binding the Study Book with Perfect Binding technique using the TSK Machine at PT TEMPrint and to find out the causes of the problems and how to resolve them. The method used in this final project is Observation, in depth Interview and Literature Study. The process of binding the Study Book went through five stages, it’s the collage process, gluing, cut the book flat three sides, sorting and packaging. Problems were found, such as the engine shutting down during the katern Collage process, the cover stumbles during the installation process, the cover exceeds the book block and the glue temperature is not hot enough. The conclusion of this final project is to find the cause of the problems and the solution is that PT TEMPrint employees are more thorough in carrying out the process of Perfect Binding in all aspects.
