PENYUNTINGAN NASKAH NOVEL PANCARONA MENTARI

The purpose of writing this final project is to describe the editing process in the novel Pancarona Mentari. The author uses the theory of the definition of the novel, the intrinsic elements of the novel, the definition of editing, the types of editing, stages of editing, editing of fiction, and book anatomy. In this final project, the author uses a descriptive method, with data collection techniques through literature study and observation. At the editing stage there are three stages, namely pre-editing, editing, and post-editing. Based on the discussion, the author has identified errors in the Pancarona Mentari novel script. Furthermore, the authors classify these errors into two categories, namely mechanical editing and substantive editing. Mechanical editing focuses on linguistic editing. Substantive editing focuses on editing the intrinsic elements. In the end, the author has succeeded in playing the role of editor in processing the novel Pancarona Mentari.

Tujuan penulisan Tugas Akhir ini untuk menguraikan proses penyuntingan pada naskah novel Pancarona Mentari. Penulis menggunakan teori definisi novel, unsur intrinsik novel, definisi penyuntingan, jenis-jenis penyuntingan, tahapan penyuntingan, penyuntingan fiksi, dan anatomi buku. Dalam tugas akhir ini, penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka dan observasi. Pada tahapan penyuntingan terdapat tiga tahap, yaitu prapenyuntingan, penyuntingan, dan pascapenyuntingan. Berdasarkan pembahasan, penulis telah mengidentifikasi kesalahan-kesalahan pada naskah novel Pancarona Mentari. Selanjutnya, penulis mengklasifikasikan kesalahan-kesalahan tersebut ke dalam dua kategori, yaitu penyuntingan mekanis dan penyuntingan substantif. Penyuntingan mekanis berfokus pada penyuntingan kebahasaan. Penyuntingan substantif berfokus pada penyuntingan unsur intrinsic. Pada akhirnya, penulis telah berhasil berperan sebagai editor mengolah naskah novel Pancarona Mentari.
