PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH PRE-CONSUMER PRODUK DENIM PADA PERUSAHAAN KURNIA WASHING SEBAGAI KEBAYA KONTEMPORER

ABSTRACT
The rapid change in trends in this industry is one of the high levels of waste generated,
the waste comes from the clothing production process. There is pre-consumer waste at
the Kurnia Washing company, which is a denim product washing service company. The
principle of waste treatment is generally 4R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Replace). In
its development, Upcyle waste processing is a type of processing products that are not
used into useful goods without material processing. At present the kebaya has
undergone various changes and modifications, the formation of the kebaya is adapted
to the needs of today's women. Upcyle by using the drapping technique into a
contemporary kebaya.

ABSTRAK
Cepatnya perubahan tren dalam industri ini merupakan salah satu tingginya limbah
yang dihasilkan, limbah – limbah tersebut berasal dari proses produksi pakaian.
Terdapat limbah pre-consumer pada perusahaan Kurnia Washing yang merupakan
perusahaan jasa pencucian produk denim. Prinsip pengolahan limbah umumnya 4R
(Reduse,Reuse,Recyle dan Replace). Dalam perkembanganya pengolahan limbah
Upcyle merupakan jenis pengolahan produk yang sudah tidak terpakai menjadi barang
berguna tanpa proses pengolahan bahan. Pada masakini kebaya telah mengalami
berbagai perubahan dan modifikasi,bentukan kebaya disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan
wanita jaman sekarang. Upcyle dengan menggunakan teknik drapping menjadi kebaya
kontemporer.
