Interpretasi Batik Depok Motif Gong SI Bolong Pada Busana Ready To Wear Deluxe

ABSTRAK

The Gong Si Bolong Batik motif is a typical batik motif in the city of Depok. This batik motif itself has a meaning to remind people not to forget history. The Batik Gong Si Bolong motif is a batik motif from the art of the city of Depok in the form of a gamelan musical instrument that was found mysteriously around 1648 AD, precisely in the Curug-an area, Tanah Baru, Depok city which is directly related to the Ciganjur village, South Jakarta. This final project uses quantitative and qualitative methods, for quantitative methods the authors use surveys to determine interest in the designs that the authors have made, while for qualitative methods analyze visual forms, historical stories, how to make Batik Gong Si Bolong motifs. The result that the writer expects from this final project is a collection of deluxe ready-to-wear clothing that is in accordance with the visual form and historical story of the Gong Si Bolong Batik Motif, and hopes the author can introduce Depok Batik to the wider community.

Motif Batik Gong Si Bolong merupakan motif batik khas Kota Depok. Motif batik ini sendiri memiliki makna untuk mengingatkan kepada masyarakat agar tidak melupakan sejarah. Motif Batik Gong Si Bolong merupakan motif batik dari kesenian khas kota Depok yaitu berupa alat musik gamelan yang ditemukan secara misterius sekitar tahun 1648 M., tepatnya di daerah Curug-an, Tanah Baru kota Depok yang berbatasan langsung dengan kelurahan Ciganjur, Jakarta Selatan. Tugas akhir ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif, untuk metode kuantitatif penulis menggunakan survey untuk mengetahui minat pasar terhadap desain yang penulis sudah buat, sedangkan untuk metode kualitatif penulis menganalisa mengenai bentuk visual, cerita sejarah, cara pembuatan dari Motif Batik Gong Si Bolong. Hasil yang diharapkan penulis dari tugas akhir ini ialah koleksi pakaian siap pakai deluxe yang sesuai dengan bentuk visual dan cerita sejarah dari Motif Batik Gong Si Bolong, dan penulis berharap dapat mememperkenalkan Batik Depok kepada masyarakat yang lebih luas.
