Abstract

The number of internet users in 2022 will increase by 210.67 million people and is
expected to continue to grow every year. This is because the number of social media
users continues to increase by 49.8%. Because the number of internet users
continues to increase, Jeneponto Regency wants to do a destination branding
through social media. This is based on the lack of information media that discusses
destinations in Jeneponto Regency. The purpose of this paper is to find out how the
role of social media officers in managing, and monitoring IniTuratea's social media
in various social media platforms. During the writing, using Branding Theory,
social media, social media officer occupation and the model from AISAS. The
results of the research show that the role of the social media officer in destination
branding in Jeneponto Regency has a process that must be carried out so that
during the process of managing IniTuratea's social media accounts, it can run well.

Jumlah pengguna internet pada tahun 2022 mengalami kenaikan sebanyak 210,67
juta jiwa dan akan diperkirakan akan terus bertambah setiap tahunnya. Hal ini
disebabkan karena jumlah pengguna media sosial terus meningkat sebanyak 49,8%.
Dikarenakan jumlah pengguna internet terus meningkat Kabupaten Jeneponto ingin
melakukan sebuah destination branding melalui sosial media. Hal ini didasarkan
karena masih sedikitnya media informasi yang membahas seputar destinasidestinasi yang ada di Kabupaten Jeneponto. Tujuan dari penulisan ini untuk
mengetahui bagaimana peran social media officer dalam pengelolaan, serta
memonitoring media sosial IniTuratea dalam berbagai platform media sosial.
Selama melakukan penulisan menggunakan Teori Branding, media sosial, okupasi
social media officer serta model dari AISAS. Hasil dari penelitian ternyata peran
dari social media officer dalam destination branding Kabupaten Jeneponto
memiliki sebuah proses yang harus dijalankan agar selama proses pengelolaan akun
media sosial IniTuratea dapat berjalan dengan baik.
