PENYUNTINGAN NASKAH BUKU NONFIKSI "SKINCARE ROUTINE FOR TEENS"

"Skincare Routine for Teens" is an information book for teenagers —boys and girls, that provides knowledge about the importance of maintaining healthy skin and how to care for skin by using skincare. The purpose of this final project is to explain the editing of the non-fiction book “Skincare Routine for Teens”. To achieve this goal, the author refers to Eneste's (2017) theory. Here, the writer who acts as the editor will describe the overall editing descriptively by collecting data through literature study and interviews. In the discussion, the author describes the three main stages of how the editing is done. In the pre-editing stage, the author skims the manuscript, checks the completeness of the manuscript, and checks for plagiarism of the manuscript. At the editing stage, the author edits the non-fiction book "Skincare Routine for Teens" in terms of mechanics, substantive, and image editing. Finally, the author does proofreading and rechecks the completeness of the edited manuscript. After going through several stages of the editing process, the manuscript for the non-fiction book “Skincare Routine for Teens” deserves to be declared for publication.

“Skincare Routine for Teens” merupakan sebuah buku informasi remaja baik untuk laki-laki maupun perempuan yang memberikan pengetahuan tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan kulit dan bagaimana merawat kulit menggunakan skincare. Tujuan penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah menjelaskan penyuntingan pada naskah buku nonfiksi “Skincare Routine for Teens”. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penulis merujuk teori Eneste (2017). Di sini penulis yang berperan sebagai penyunting akan menjabarkan mengenai penyuntingan keseluruhan secara deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka dan wawancara. Pada pembahasan, penulis menjabarkan tiga tahap utama bagaimana penyuntingan itu dilakukan. Di tahap pra penyuntingan, penulis melakukan pembacaan sepintas, memeriksa kelengkapan naskah, dan cek plagiarisme naskah. Pada tahap penyuntingan, penulis melakukan penyuntingan terhadap naskah buku nonfiksi “Skincare Routine for Teens” dari segi mekanis, substansiff, dan penyuntingan gambar. Yang terakhir, penulis melakukan proofreading dan memeriksa kembali kelengkapan naskah yang telah disunting. Setelah melalui beberapa tahap proses penyuntingan, naskah buku nonfiksi “Skincare Routine for Teens” dinyatakan layak untuk diterbitkan.
