KAJIAN DEFECT PADA PROSES PRODUKSI POUCH DENGAN MESIN BAG MAKING DI PT INDOFOOD CBP SUKSES MAKMUR

There are several stages in the pouch making process, namely, film making, printing, lamination, slitting, and finally bag making. In the process in the bag making machine, the film is formed into a pouch by merge the film using sealer. In this process, it is not uncommon to find defect in the finished product or finish good (FG). Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to identify the causes of defects that occur in the pouch making process in the bag making machine and to provide advice to PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk Packaging Division in order to reduce or prevent defects. The method used in this writing is the method of literature study, interviews, and direct observation. Defects can occur due to various factors such as humans, machines, methods, materials, and the environment. From these factors, PT Indofood CBP Sukes Makmur Packaging Division must evaluate in order to prevent and reduce the occurrence of defects.

Ada beberapa tahap dalam proses pembuatan pouch yaitu, proses pembuatan film, pencetakkan, laminasi, slitting, dan terakhir bag making. Dalam proses di mesin bag making, film dibentuk menjadi pouch dengan cara menyatukan film menggunakan sealer. Pada proses tersebut tidak jarang ditemukan cacat (defect) pada produk jadi atau finish good (FG). Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab terjadinya defect yang terjadi pada proses pembuatan pouch di mesin bag making serta memberikan saran untuk PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk Divisi Kemasan agar dapat mengurangi atau mencegah terjadinya defect. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode studi kepustakaan, wawancara, dan observasi secara langsung. Defect dapat terjadi karena berbagai macam faktor seperti, manusia, mesin, metode, material, dan lingkungan. Dari faktor-faktor tersebut, PT Indofood CBP Sukes Makmur Divisi Kemasan harus mengevaluasi agar dapat mencegah dan mengurasi terjadinya defect.
