IDENTIFIKASI MASALAH DAN SOLUSI PRODUK DEFECT PADA PROSES CETAK OFFSET DI PT CITRA INDOUTAMA CEMERLANG

The production process of automotive packaging prints made from duplex cannot
be separated from defects that affect the print results so that they are not in
accordance with customer wishes. So in a printing company, quality control or
Quality Control is needed to get good prints and minimize the number of defects.
The print quality results at PT Citra Indoutama Cemerlang have several
shortcomings such as spots on the image area (image area) which is commonly
called hickeys (chicken eyes). In addition to some of these problems, there are
factors that cause excessive defects, namely dirty blankets, poorly clean ink,
excessive wetting water, improper weeting water PH The setting of the machine is
not standard due to the factor that the machine is old. How to overcome problems
that affect the quality of the mold and excess defects by cleaning the blanket,
cleaning the ink tank, setting the nipping roll as needed, adjusting the PH of the
wetting water, and adjusting the volume of wetting water. From the problems found,
the quality of the prints at PT Citra Indoutama Cemerlang needs to be increased so
that the number of defects produced is not too much or excessive.

Proses produksi cetak kemasan otomotif berbahan duplex tidaklah lepas dari defect
yang mempengaruhi hasil cetakan sehingga tidak sesuai dengan keinginan
customer. Maka dalam suatu perusahaan percetakan diperlukan pengendalian mutu
atau quality control guna mendapatkan hasil cetakan yang baik dan meminimalisir
jumlah defect. Hasil kualitas cetakan di PT Citra Indoutama Cemerlang memiliki
kekurangan seperti bintik-bintik pada area gambar (image area) yang biasa disebut
dengan hickeys (mata ayam). Selain permasalahan tadi, adapun faktor yang
menyebabkan defect berlebihan yaitu blanket yang kotor, tinta yang kurang bersih,
air pembasah yang berlebihan, PH air pembasah yang kurang tepat, dan settingan
mesin yang tidak standar akibat faktor mesin sudah tua. Cara mengatasi
permasalahan yang mempengaruhi kualitas cetakan dan defect berlebih dengan cara
membersihkan blanket, membersihkan bak tinta, setting nipping roll sesuai yang
diperlukan, dan mengatur volume air pembasah. Dari permasalahan yang
ditemukan hasil kualitas cetakan di PT Citra Indoutama Cemerlang perlu
ditingkatkan agar jumlah defect yang dihasilkan tidak terlalu banyak atau berlebih.
