ARAK-ARAKAN ONDEL-ONDEL OLEH SANGGAR BETAWI MUSTIKA AIR PANCUR DALAM FOTOGRAFI DOKUMENTER

ABSTRACT
“Ondel-ondel Procession by Betawi People in Documentary Photography” This is a
journalistic photography work that the author created for his final project in the
photography study program. The author's aim is to describe how the Betawi people
parading an Ondel-ondel to entertain the public in a documentary photo. Taking
photos, the Betawi people parading an Ondel-ondel as the main object. The author uses
Journalistic photos, and Documentary photos. Based on the discussion, it can be
concluded that the creation of documentary photos requires research, interviews,
observations in order to obtain photos that describe the Ondel-ondel procession by the
Betawi Community as a real public entertainment medium and apply several
photographic compositions and photographic techniques so that the photo works The
resulting product has a beauty to be enjoyed by a wide audience. Ondel-ondel is a
Betawi cultural heritage in the form of a giant doll. In ancient times Ondel-ondel was
believed to be able to ward off disease and spirits that disturbed the community.
According to some sources, Ondel-ondel is derived from the word gondel-gondel which
means to hang or hang the word comes from the Ondel-ondel dance which looks like
swinging.

ABSTRAK
“Arak-arakan Ondel-ondel Oleh Masyarakat Betawi Dalam Fotografi Dokumenter”
Merupakan karya fotografi Jurnalistik yang penulis ciptakan untuk karya Tugas Akhir
pada program studi fotografi. Tujuan penulis untuk menggambarkan tentang
bagaimana masyarakat Betawi dalam mengarak sebuah Ondel-ondel untuk menghibur
masyarakat dalam foto Dokumenter. Pengambilan foto, masyarakat Betawi yang
sedang mengarak Ondel-ondel sebagai objek utama. Penulis menggunakan foto
Jurnalistik, dan foto Dokumenter. Berdasarkan pembahasan tersebut dapat disimpulkan
bahwa pada penciptaan foto Dokumenter diperlukan riset, wawancara, observasi demi
mendapatkan foto yang menggambarkan kegiatan arak-arakan Ondelondel oleh
Masyarakat Betawi sebagai media penghibur masyarakat secara nyata dan menerapkan
beberapa komposisi fotografi serta teknik-teknik fotografi agar karya foto yang
dihasilkan memiliki keindahan untuk dinikmati khalayak luas. Ondel-ondel merupakan
warisan budaya suku Betawi berupa boneka raksasa. Pada zaman dahulu Ondel-ondel
dipercaya dapat menolak bala penyakit serta roh-roh halus yang mengganggu
masyarakat. Menurut beberapa sumber Ondel-ondel berasal dari kata gondel-gondel
yang berari menggandul atau menggandul kata tersebut berasal dari tarian Ondel-ondel
yang terliat seperti berayun-ayun.
