PERANCANGAN DESAIN BAJU SERAGAM BAGI KARYAWAN CAFE KOCOBA MEDAN

ABSTRAK

Motif pada baju karyawan cafe merupakan salah satu identitas dari sebuah lembaga instansi. kenyataannya bahwa karyawan Cafe Kocoba belum memiliki motif baju yang berkarakter sebagai identitas karyawan. Yang lebih menarik lagi adalah rasa keingintahuan peneliti untuk mengetahui lebih jauh karakter atau citra apa saja yang menjadi ciri khas kehidupan karyawan yang ada di cafe sebagai identitas dari cafe tersebut. Desain yang tersematkan pada motif baju juga melibatkan peranan usaha membentuk sebuah representasi realitas sosial kehidupan masyarakat. Artinya simbol dan warna dapat menjadi pertanda (metafora) sejauh imajinasi yang ditampilkannya membentuk dan merefleksikan nilai hakiki sebagai karakter dan identitas dari sebuah cafe tersebut. Dalam tugas akhir ini yang berjudul “Perancangan Desain Baju Seragam Bagi Karyawan Cafe Kocoba Medan” diharapkan dapat menjadi penarik tersendiri oleh pelanggan.Oleh karena itu tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk membantu Cafe Kocoba dalam merancang baju seragam bagi karyawan mereka. Adapun metode pengumpulan data yang penulis buat yaitu observasi, studi pustaka dan wawancara. Konsep desain yang telah penulis buat yaitu berupa gambar kepala luwak dan bunga matahari beserta daunnya. Selain gambar terdapat juga tulisan “KOCOBA”. Jenis font pada desain tersebut yaitu Arial Black dengan ukuran 35. Hasil dari konsep desain yang telah penulis buat diterapkan pada kaos lengan panjang berwarna hitam. Baju tersebutlah yang nantinya menjadi seragam bagi karyawan Cafe Kocoba Medan.

ABSTRACT

The motif on the cafe employee's clothes is one of the identities of an agency. the fact is that the employees of Cafe Kocoba do not yet have a clothing motif that has character as an employee identity. What is even more interesting is the curiosity of the researcher to find out more about the characters or images that characterize the lives of employees in the cafe as the identity of the cafe. The designs embedded in the motifs of clothes also involve the role of efforts to form a representation of the social reality of people's lives. This means that symbols and colors can be signs (metaphors) as far as the imagination they display forms and reflects the intrinsic value as the character and identity of a cafe. In this final project, entitled "Uniform Design Design for Employees of Cafe Kocoba Medan" is expected to be a special attraction for customers. Therefore, this final project aims to help Cafe Kocoba in designing uniforms for their employees. The data collection methods that the author made are observation, literature study and interviews. The design concept that the author has made is in the form of a pictureof a mongoose head and a sunflower and its leaves. In addition to the picturethere is also the words "KOCOBA". The font type in the design is Arial Black withsize 35. The results of the design concept that the author has made are applied toa black long-sleeved shirt. This shirt will become the uniform for the employees ofCafe Kocoba Medan.
