PENGEMBANGAN BUSANA SIAP PAKAI APLIKASI BATIK BELIMBING DEWA UNTUK DEWASA AWAL (STUDI KASUS : BATIK PURI AMBARY)

Tugas Akhir ini dilatar belakangi oleh belum dikenalinya Belimbing Dewa sebagai ikon Kota Depok pada kain batik padahal batik sudah ditentukan sebagai warisan budaya asli Indonesia oleh UNESCO. UMKM yang bergerak dalam bidang batik di Kota Depok adalah Batik Puri Ambary, satu-satunya pembatik yang menggunakan warna alam tetapi eksplorasi warnanya terbatas hanya pada Indigofera saja. Industri batik menjadi busana ready to wear mempunyai peluang yang besar. Tujuan dari tugas akhir ini adalah mengembangkan motif baru ikon Belimbing Dewa dengan diaplikasikan ke busana ready to wear ke usia dewasa awal. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan desain thinking model Hasso Plattner dengan Teknik : 1. Studi Literatur 2. Observasi 3. Wawancara 4. Kuisoner 5. Eksplorasi. Pengenalan kearifan local Belimbing Dewa ikon Kota Depok dapat diwujudkan dalam desain motif pada kain batik yang mengeksplorasi warna alam dan dibuat busana ready to wear. Busana ready to wear yang diminati usia dewasa awal adalah berbentuk Japanese look dan classic casual. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dibuat tiga macam baju ready to wear yaitudalam bentuk outer, inner serta obi yang berbahan dasar batik Depok warna alam. Hasil testing pasar mendapat sambutan positif dari responden sebanyak lebih dari 70% menyukai desain busana siap pakainya dan dilakukan wawancara dengan 2 Orang dengan hasil memuaskan paling banyak disukai outernya.

This final project is motivated by the fact that Belimbing Dewa has not been recognized as an icon of Depok City on batik cloth, even though batik has been determined as an original cultural heritage of Indonesia by UNESCO. Batik SMEs engaged in batik in Depok City are Batik Puri Ambary, the only batik that uses natural colors, but its color exploration is limited to Indigofera only. The batik industry in ready-to-wear clothing has a great opportunity. The purpose of this final project is to develop a new motif of the Belimbing Dewa icon by having it applied to ready-to-wear clothing for early adulthood. The method in this study uses the Hasso Plattner thinking model design approach with the following techniques: 1. Review of the literature 2. Observation 3. Interview 4. Questionnaire 5. Exploration. The introduction of local wisdom Belimbing Dewa, the icon of Depok City, can be realized in the design of motifs on batik cloth that explores natural colors and makes ready-to-wear clothing. Ready-to-wear clothing that is in demand by early adults is in the form of a Japanese look and classic casual. The result of this research is that three kinds of ready-to-wear clothes are made, namely in the form of outer, inner, and obi, which are made from natural color Depok batik. We received a positive response from the respondents as more than 70% liked the ready-to-wear clothing design. We conducted interviews with 2 people with satisfactory results.
