Abstract

Game is one of the activities that are often done by most people in search of entertainment and fun. Along with the development of technology from time to time, learning media are also growing rapidly by changing more effective learning models, one of which is educational games. In this study, games were made using the GDLC (Game Development Life Cycle) method, namely: Initiation, Pre-Production, Production, Testing, Beta, and Release. However, in this study, the author's role is limited to focusing only on the Pre-Production process, where the author plays an active role in finding interesting ideas for the Game Genre, determining the Gameplay, designing challenges and Levels in the Game which can then be included in (GDD) Game Design Document, not to forget the author also designed a Wireframe which is a visual representation of the Game UI. The result of this research is an educational game that is expected to be able to make people aware and understand the importance of keeping the environment clean.

Game/ Permainan merupakan salah satu aktivitas yang sering dilakukan oleh kebanyakan orang dalam mencari hiburan dan kesenangan. Seiring perkembangan teknologi dari masa ke masa, media pembelajaran juga semakin berkembang pesat pula dengan mengubah model belajar yang lebih efektif, salah satunya yaitu dengan Game Edukasi. Pada penelitian ini, Game yang dibuat menggunakan metode GDLC (Game Development Life Cycle), yaitu: Inisiasi, Pra-Produksi, Produksi, Testing, Beta, and Rilis. Namun pada penelitian ini, peran penulis terbatas hanya berfokus pada proses Pra-Produksi, dimana penulis berperan aktif dalam mencari ide yang menarik untuk Genre Game, menentukan Gameplay, merancang tantangan dan Level di dalam Game untuk selanjutnya dapat dimasukkan ke dalam (GDD) Game Design Document, tidak lupa penulis juga merancang Wireframe yang menjadi representasi visual dari UI Game. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah Game Edukasi yang diharapkan mampu membuat masyarakat sadar dan paham pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan.
