ANALISIS PENGENDALIAN PERSEDIAAN BAHAN BAKU DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE EOQ DI PT PRIMA HONEYCOMB INTERNATIONAL

Company policy in the form of forecasting which so far has been implemented by PT Prima Honeycomb International in controlling the supply of paper raw materials duplex still experiencing the problem of shortage of raw materials, especially in paper duplex size 90 x 80 grammature 400 gsm. The shortage resulted in the stoppage of the production process, for that the EOQ method which is the number of optimal raw material purchases that achieve the minimum cost for supplies needs to be applied. The purpose of this research is to find out the raw material inventory management system in the company, apply EOQ in the company, and be able to compare the optimization results of the application of EOQ with forecasting. The methods used in this research are observation, interview, and literature study. The results of the calculation, EOQ can reduce the total inventory cost of Rp.376,773.99 of the EOQ value of Rp.2,898,275 which is compared to forecasting Rp.3,275,048.99 with less EOQ in a year, which is only 7 times compared to forecasting 12 times. Then average quantity one-time ordering can be further optimized with EOQ, which is 342.27 pack from forecasting only 206.66 pack. In addition, the EOQ determines the amount safety stock as much as 199.91 pack and reorder point as much as 457.91 pack to prevent running outstock materials, which ones forecasting didn't take it into account. The results of this study indicate that the EOQ method is more optimal than the other methods forecasting.

Kebijakan perusahaan berupa forecasting yang selama ini diterapkan PT Prima Honeycomb International dalam pengendalian persediaan bahan baku kertas duplex masih mengalami permasalahan kekurangan bahan baku khususnya pada kertas duplex ukuran 90 x 80 gramatur 400 gsm. Kekurangan tersebut mengakibatkan terhentinya proses produksi, untuk itu metode EOQ yang merupakan banyaknya pembeliaan bahan baku optimal yang mencapai biaya paling minimum untuk persediaan perlu diterapkan. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sistem pengendalian persediaan bahan baku di perusahaan, menerapkan EOQ di perusahaan, dan dapat melakukan komparasi optimalisasi pada hasil penerapan EOQ dengan forecasting. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Hasil perhitungannya, EOQ dapat menekan total biaya persediaan sebesar Rp.376.773,99 dari nilai EOQ Rp.2.898.275 yang dibandingkan dengan forecasting sebesar Rp.3.275.048,99 dengan frekuensi pemesanan dalam setahun lebih sedikit EOQ yaitu hanya 7 kali dibanding forecasting 12 kali. Maka rata-rata quantity pemesanan sekali pesan dapat lebih dioptimalkan dengan EOQ yaitu sebanyak 342,27 pack daripada forecasting hanya 206,66 pack. Selain itu, EOQ menentukan banyaknya safety stock sebanyak 199,91 pack dan reorder point sebanyak 457,91 pack untuk mencegah kehabisan stock bahan, yang dimana forecasting tidak memperhitungkannya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa metode EOQ lebih optimal dibanding metode forecasting.
