PERANCANGAN TATA LETAK DAN ILUSTRASI NASKAH MAKE IT BEAUTY

“Make it Beauty” is a makeup guide book that the author produces as a final project in the Publishing study program. Regarding the design of the graphic design process which includes book covers, illustrations, and layouts. Literature Review that the author uses is the theory of Hendratman and Salisbury. In this final project, the author uses the theory of graphic design stages by describing it in six stages, namely looking for information needs, creating a framework, looking for creative ideas, data processing, visualization and production. Meanwhile, in making illustrations there are three stages, namely sketching, displaying the sketch on the monitor screen, and adding color and texture. Based on the discussion, it can be concluded that the author uses graphic design and layout in making works as the right choice because the steps are well structured. With the existence of a guide book with the theme of makeup, the author really hopes that this book can be useful in the lives of readers and society.

“Make it Beauty” merupakan buku panduan makeup yang penulis hasilkan sebagai karya tugas akhir pada program studi Penerbitan. Berkaitan desan proses perancangan grafis yang meliputi sampul buku, ilustrasi, dan tata letak. Tinjauan Pustaka yang penulis gunakan adalah teori dari Hendratman dan Salisbury. Dalam tugas akhir ini, penulis menggunakan teori tahapan desain grafis dengan menjabarkan dalam enam tahap, yaitu mencari informasi kebutuhan, membuat kerangka kerja, mencari ide kreatif, olah data, visualisasi dan produksi. Sedangkan dalam pembuatan ilustrasi ada tiga tahap, yaitu membuat sketsa, menampilkan sketsa di layar monitor, dan menambah warna dan tekstur. Berdasarkan pembahsan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penulis menggunakan rancangan grafis dan tata letak dalam membuat karya sebagai pilihan yang tepat karena langkah-langkahnya terstruktur dengan baik. Adanya buku panduan yang mengangkat tema makeup, penulis sangat berharap buku ini dapat bermanfaat dalam kehidupan pembaca dan masyarakat.
