3D animated films have become increasingly popular among teenagers. Animated films can be used as a useful tool to convey moral messages, including messages about gratitude. Gratitude has a positive effect on the psychological well-being of adolescents, while a lack of gratitude can cause anxiety and dissatisfaction in achieving life goals. Therefore, a 3D animated short film “Thunderclouds” was created with the theme of gratitude. The purpose of this writing is to produce 3D animated short films with interesting characters and to find out the response of teenagers' interest in the film “Thunderclouds”. This study uses survey methods, literature studies and interviews. Based on the results of a survey of 60 teenage respondents with an age range of 13-21 years, 98.3% were interested in watching the movie "Thunderclouds" based on the poster, 96.7% were interested because of the story, 94.9% felt the moral message of gratitude, and 96. .7% like the character style and are interested in the movie “Thunderclouds”. Meanwhile, based on an interview with Ghina Khairunnisa who is a 3D Animator at Lumine Studio, she believes that the 3D animated short film "Thunderclouds" has a meaningful story, clear sound recording, and the color mood matches the theme of the story. Meanwhile, according to Taufik Riyadi who is a 3D Modeler at Studio Shoh, he thinks the characters displayed are suitable for teenagers and suggests a sculpting method for making 3D characters. From the results of a literature study, the authors learned that pastel colors are popular with teenagers today and can attract teenagers to see the 3D animated short film “Thundercloud”. The conclusion drawn from this study is that the story of gratitude and the characters in the 3D animated short film "Thunderclouds" received a good response from teenagers and experts in the field of animation.

Film animasi 3D telah menjadi semakin populer di kalangan remaja. Film animasi dapat digunakan sebagai sarana yang bermanfaat untuk menyampaikan pesan moral, termasuk pesan tentang kebersyukuran. Kebersyukuran memiliki pengaruh positif pada kesejahteraan psikologis remaja. Maka dari itu dibuatlah film pendek animasi 3D “Thunderclouds” dengan tema kebersyukuran. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mendapatkan hasil film pendek animasi 3D dengan karakter yang menarik dan mengetahui respon ketertarikan remaja terhadap film “Thunderclouds”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei, studi literatur dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil survei yang dari 60 responden remaja dengan rentang usia 13-21 tahun, didapatkan hasil 96,7% tertarik karena cerita, 94,9% merasakan pesan moral kebersyukuran, dan 96,7% menyukai style karakter dan tertarik dengan film “Thunderclouds”. Sedangkan berdasarkan wawancara dengan seorang 3D Animator dan 3D Modeler berpendapat bahwa film pendek animasi 3D “Thunderclouds” memiliki cerita bermakna, rekaman suara jelas, mood warna sesuai dengan tema cerita dan karakter yang ditampilkan cocok untuk remaja. Hasil studi literatur, penulis mempelajari bahwa warna pastel digemari oleh remaja saat ini dan dapat menarik minat remaja untuk melihat film pendek animasi 3D “Thundercloud”. Kesimpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah cerita mengenai kebersyukuran dan karakter pada film pendek animasi 3D “Thunderclouds” mendabat respon yang baik oleh remaja dan ahli pada bidang animasi.
