Abstract
Indonesia is a country rich in natural resources and biodiversity. There are as many as 189 species of endangered species due to illegal hunting and trading of wild animals. This writer intends to develop a desktop-based 2D game hunting endangered wildlife "Si Jamal: Sang Penyelamat" to encourage the younger generation to care more about endangered species in Indonesia. This game refers to the GDLC (Game Development Life Cycle) method. encourage the younger generation to care more about endangered species so that the rate of extinction in Indonesia can be reduced. In making this game, using the FSM method on enemies so that they can chase players with a different perspective on each enemy. The result of applying FSM to the enemy, adding a level of difficulty according to the enemy's movement speed and point of view. The game " Si Jamal: Sang Penyelamat " also succeeded in educating users by raising the theme of poaching and endangered animals, as well as being able to provide entertainment and stories in the game " Si Jamal: Sang Penyelamat "
