TINJAUAN CACAT KUALITAS HASIL CETAK KEMASAN MI INSTAN PADA PROSES PRINTING MENGGUNAKAN MESIN ROTOGRAVURE

ABSTRAK
Packaging is a container that is very important as a product protector. In addition, packaging also serves as a medium for product information to consumers. To maintain the quality of packaging, the company needs quality control in every production process. Product quality is the key to competition among businesses offered to consumers. To achieve the desired quality, the company must ensure that the production results are not damaged or defective. Flexible packaging is made through a printing process first. In the printing process there are several defects such as shadows. The design printed on the film must be clean without any defects. One of the factors that reduce the value of the display is that there are printing defects. The purpose of this Final Project is Defects in the Print Quality of Instant Noodle Packaging in the Printing Process Using a Rotogravure Machine. The implementation method that the author chooses includes observation, interview and literature study methods. shadow defects can be caused by several factors such as machines, humans and also the materials used. Checking shadow printing defects on packaging can be done directly by visual checking without the help of tools, shadow defects will be clearly visible if the ink attached is not suitable or the ink contaminates the packaging.

Kemasan adalah suatu wadah yang sangat penting sebagai pelindung produk. Selain itu kemasan juga berfungsi sebagai media informasi produk kepada konsumen. Untuk menjaga kualitas kemasan, maka perusahaan membutuhkan pengendalian kualitas pada setiap proses produksinya. Kualitas produk merupakan kunci persaingan diantara pelaku usaha yang ditawarkan kepada konsumen. Untuk mencapai kualitas yang dinginkan, perusahaan harus memastikan bahwa hasil produksi tidak mengalami kerusakan atau cacat. Kemasan fleksibel dibuat melalui proses printing terlebih dahulu. Dalam proses printing ada beberapa cacat seperti bayang. Desain yang tercetak dalam film harus dalam keadaan bersih tanpa adanya cacat. Salah satu faktor yang mengurangi nilai tampilan tersebut yaitu terdapat cacatbayang printing. Tujuan dalam Tugas Akhir ini yaitu Cacat Kualitas Cetak Kemasan Mi Instan Pada Proses Printing Menggunakan Mesin Rotogravure. Metode pelaksanaan yang penulis pilih meliputi metode observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka. cacat bayang bisa disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti dari mesin, manusia dan juga material yang digunakan. Pengecekan cacat bayang printing pada kemasan dapat dilakukan secara langsung dengan pengecekan visual tanpa adanya bantuan alat, cacat bayang akan terlihat jelas jika tinta yang menempel tidak sesuai atau tinta mengotori kemasan.
