LAPORAN TUGAS AKHIR PERANCANGAN MOTION GRAPHICS SEBAGAI MEDIA KAMPANYE BAHAYA SELF DIAGNOSE YANG MENYEBABKAN GANGGUAN MENTAL PADA REMAJA

Technological developments are currently growing rapidly. Moreover, to access information about health, it is very easy for teenagers to do. As a result, they often make assumptions based on the information they get, then relate it to the health symptoms they are experiencing. Many of them are not aware of the dangers of self diagnose for their mental health. Self Diagnose is indeed good as first aid, but still we have to validate it to the experts. Because taking the wrong treatment, it can be fatal for their bodies. Of the 16 million Indonesians who suffer from depression, only 9% are undergoing medical treatment. Therefore, an educational campaign is needed with the main media as motion graphics to increase their awareness regarding the dangers of self-diagnosis which causes mental disorders.

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini sangat berkembang pesat. Apalagi untuk mengakses informasi tentang kesehatan, sangat mudah dilakukan oleh para remaja. Alhasil mereka sering membuat asumsi berdasarkan informasi yang mereka dapat, lalu menghubungkannya dengan gejala kesehatan yang mereka alami. Banyak dari mereka yang belum sadar terkait bahaya Self Diagnose bagi kesehatan mental mereka. Self Diagnose memang baik sebagi pertolongan pertama, namun tetap aja kita harus memvalidasinya kepada ahlinya. Karena salah mengambil pengobatan, dapat berakibat fatal bagi tubuh mereka. Dari 16 juta penduduk Indonesia yang mengalami depresi, hanya 9% saja yang menjalani pengobatan medis. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkannya kampanye edukasi dengan media utama motion graphics untuk meningkatkan awareness mereka terkait bahaya Self Diagnose yang menyebabkan gangguan mental.
