TINJAUAN PROSES PEMBUATAN PELAT CETAK KEMASAN KARTON DUPLEX PADA MESIN PLATRITE 8600 DI PT PRIMA HONEYCOMB INTERNATIONAL

As we know the graphics industry is an industry that moves in the field of printing. The one where the product will be printed according to the existing demand. Products produced by the graphics industry can be books, magazines, newspapers, posters, banners, packaging. Speaking of packaging, the packaging itself is a container used as a packaging of a product that serves to protect and add to the attractiveness of the buyer. One of the materials of the packaging can be duplex cardboard. To print duplex cardboard packaging requires the method of printing offset. Before entering the printing process there is a pre-printing stage to make a printing form of a plate. During the production process, a number of problems occurred. The purpose of this writing is to know the process of making plates and also to find a solution to the problems that occur. Further, there are methods used for data collection such as performing direct observations to the place of industry practice, conducting two-way conversations with sources in the company, and supplementing theoretical information collected from various internet reference sources with topics that correspond to the discussion. From this discussion find out the results to solve the problems in the production of plates and the conclusion that can be made is at the time of the process of making plates should be done with mature preparations such as the preparation of raw materials, machine preparation, the conditions of the workplace room. This is done to minimize the occurrence of problems that occur in the middle of the plate manufacturing process.

Seperti yang kita ketahui industri grafika adalah industri yang bergerak di bidang percetakan. Yang dimana produk yang akan dicetak sesuai dengan permintaan yang ada. Produk yang dihasilkan oleh industri grafika bisa berupa buku, majalah, koran, poster, spanduk, kemasan. Berbicara tentang kemasan, kemasan sendiri merupakan wadah yang digunakan sebagai pembungkus suatu produk yang berfungsi untuk melindungi dan menambah daya tarik pembeli. Salah satu bahan dari kemasan bisa berupa karton duplex. Untuk mencetak kemasan karton duplex memerlukan metode dengan cara cetak ofset. Sebelum masuk ke proses cetak ada tahap pra cetak untuk membuat acuan cetak berupa pelat. Dalam proses pembuatan pelat dijumpai beberapa masalah yang terjadi. Tujuan dari penulisan ini untuk mengetahui proses pembuatan pelat dan juga menemukan solusi dari permasalahan yang terjadi. Selanjutnya ada metode yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data seperti melakukan pengamatan langsung ke tempat praktik industri, melakukan percakapan dua arah dengan narasumber di perusahaan, dan melengkapi informasi teoretis yang dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber referensi internet dengan topik yang sesuai dengan pembahasan. Dari pembahasan ini menemukan hasil untuk mengatasi masalah dalam pembuatan pelat dan kesimpulan yang di dapat adalah pada saat proses pembuatan pelat harus dilakukan dengan persiapan yang matang seperti persiapan bahan baku, persiapan mesin, kondisi ruangan tempat kerja. Hal ini dilakukan untuk meminimalisir terjadinya masalah yang terjadi ditengah proses pembuatan pelat.
