PERANCANGAN BUKU ILUSTRASI EDUKASI ANAK TENTANG BAHAYA PETIR

Lightning occurs due to the accumulation of a negative electric charge at the bottom of a cloud, resulting in the induction of a positive electric charge above the ground, thereby creating an electric field between the cloud and the ground. The magnitude of the potential difference between the charge on the cloud and the Earth's surface determines the occurrence of lightning discharges. Lightning is a highly perilous natural phenomenon due to its immense energy. Each lightning strike can release millions of volts of energy. The methodology employed in this final project is based on a questionnaire. The objective of developing this illustration Book is to provide educational resources for children, including supporting media, such as posters, flyers, and gimmicks. The purpose of designing this illustration Book is to educate children about the phenomenon of lightning and the factors that influence it. In conclusion, the authors aim to offer an informative and engaging illustrated book that serves as a valuable source of information and guidance for the community, enabling them to mitigate the risks associated with lightning.

Petir terjadi karena adanya muatan listrik negatif yang terkumpul di bagian bawah awan dan menyebabkan terinduksinya muatan listrik positif di atas permukaan tanah sehingga terbentuk medan listrik antara awan dan tanah. Semakin besar beda potensial antara muatan pada awan dan permukaan bumi, maka terjadi pelepasan muatan berupa petir. Petir merupakan salah satu fenomena alam yang sangat berbahaya karena energinya yang sangat besar, Setiap kali petir menyambar bisa mengeluarkan energi hingga jutaan volt. Metode karya tugas akhir ini berdasarkan kuisioner. Tujuan perancangan buku ilustrasi ini dibuat untuk mengedukasi anak-anak dengan media pendukung poster flyer dan gimmick. Manfaat dari perancangan buku ilustrasi ini untuk mengedukasi anak tentang fenomena petir dan indikator yang mempengaruhinya. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh bahwa dengan adanya buku ilustrasi yang dibuat dengan informatif dan ilustrasi yang menarik, penulis berharap menjadi sumber informasi dan masukan bagi masyarakat sehingga dapat meminimalisir bahaya petir.
