Abstract

Creative Space is defined as a physical or virtual place that can gather creative people to support each other in community or business in the fields of creative economy, culture and technology. How does a video editor play a role in the production of a television documentary programs with an expository type that raises a creative space, namely Gudskul, discussing the Gudskul track record, the programs that have been carried out, up to the networking process to the international arena. The writer as an editor is fully responsible for the work that is made by going through thet pre-production, production and post-production. The writer uses observation data collection techniques, literature studies, and interviews obtain data. The writer uses David Bordwell's Alternative to Continuity Editing theory which states that violating some continuity editing requirements. The editor is responsible for the final outcome of a show. The use of cut types, transition types, color determination in the show, speed determination of a shoot, and the addition of graphic elements are very important because the work will feel more alive, and can convey the vision that is being achieved.

Ruang Kreatif didefinisikan sebagai tempat fisik atau virtual yang dapat mengumpulkan orang-orang kreatif untuk saling mendukung dalam komunitas maupun bisnis di bidang ekonomi kreatif, budaya, dan teknologi. Bagaimana peranan seorang video editor dalam pembuatan program dokumenter televisi dengan tipe ekpositori yang mengangkat sebuah ruang kreatif yaitu Gudskul, membahas seputar rekam jejak Gudskul, program-program yang dijalani, hingga proses berjejaring ke kancah internasional. Penulis sebagai editor bertanggung jawab penuh atas hasil karya yang dibuat dengan melalui tahapan praproduksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi. Penulis menggunakan teknik penggumpulan data observasi, studi pustaka, dan wawancara untuk mendapatkan data. Penulis menggunakan teori Alternative to Continuity Editing David Bordwell yang menyatakan bahwa melakukan pelanggaran dalam beberapa syarat continuity editing. Editor bertanggung jawab atas hasil akhir sebuah tayangan. Penggunaan jenis cut, jenis transisi, penentuan warna dalam tayangan, penentuan cepat lambatnya sebuah shoot, dan penambahan elemen grafis sangat penting karena karya akan terasa lebih hidup dan dapat menyampaikan visi yang ingin dicapai.
