ANALISIS EFEKTIVITAS FILM PENDEK ANIMASI SEBAGAI SARANA PENGENALAN BUDAYA MITOS UNTUK MAHASISWA POLITEKNIK NEGERI MEDIA KREATIF

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi efektivitas film pendek animasi sebagai sarana pengenalan budaya tradisional kepada generasi muda. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dengan mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif sebagai partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film pendek animasi dapat meningkatkan minat, pemahaman, dan apresiasi mahasiswa terhadap budaya dan mitos. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan film animasi ini adalah tema yang menggabungkan budaya dan mitos, cerita yang melibatkan makhluk halus, cerita yang terhubung dengan penonton, penggunaan wayang, serta aspek teknis seperti visual, animasi, sound design, dan visual effects yang menarik. Pengembangan visual yang unik dengan inspirasi budaya tradisional juga menjadi faktor penting dalam memperkenalkan budaya tradisional dengan cara yang lebih menarik kepada generasi muda.

This thesis aims to evaluate the effectiveness of animated short films as a means of introducing traditional culture to the younger generation. The research was conducted through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method with students of Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif as participants. The results showed that animated short films can increase students' interest, understanding, and appreciation of culture and myths. Factors that influence the success of this animated film are themes that combine culture and myths, stories that involve spirits, stories that connect with the audience, the use of puppets, and technical aspects such as visuals, animation, sound design, and interesting visual effects. The development of unique visuals inspired by traditional culture is also an important factor in introducing traditional culture in a more interesting way to the younger generation.
