PERANCANGAN ZINE “ARSIP” TENTANG PERJALANAN DAN BUDAYA HARDCORE DI IBUKOTA

Etymologically, the word Hardcore comes from English, namely (hard-core or hardcore) which is then often shortened to HC or HxC, but Hardcore is a generic term used to describe a genre of music that is more extreme than the usual version, namely the punk rock genre and subculture that emerged in the late 1970s. The notion of the hardcore punk is increasingly spreading and extending to all corners of the world. Along with the increasing level of the economy of big cities in Indonesia and the increasingly open flow of global information, various kinds of foreign cultures have begun to enter Indonesia, one of which is Hc-punk (subculture). Hardcore Punk entered Indonesia during Suharto's heyday. At this time zines began to appear which were published to build communication between underground music communities often called Underground in various cities in Indonesia. This was followed by the release of albums by Hc-punk bands that were increasingly popping up. From these problems, the author was moved to create an information media facility to change the public's perspective on loud music which was designed in the form of a zine with a visual design that was acceptable to the public and content that was light, clear, and understandable to the public

Secara etimologi kata Hardcore berasal dari Bahasa Inggris, yaitu (hard core atau hardcore) kemudian sering disingkat menjadi HC atau HxC, namun Hardcore adalah istilah generik yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan sesuatu aliran music yang lebih ekstrem daripada versi biasanya, Yaitu adalah genre punk rock serta subkultur yang lahir pada akhir dekade 1970-an. Paham hardcore punk kian tersebar dan meluas hingga ke segala pelosok dunia. Seiring meningkatnya taraf perekonomian kota-kota besar di Indonesia dan kian terbukanya arus informasi global, mulai masuklah berbagai macam budaya asing ke Indonesia, salah satunya (subkultur) Hc-punk. Hardcore Punk masuk di Indonesia pada masa kedigjayaan Suharto. Pada masa ini mulai bermunculan zine yang diterbitkan untuk membangun komunikasi antar komunitas musik bawah tanah atau sering di bilang Underground diberbagai kota di Indonesia. Dilanjutkan dengan mulai rilis album band-band Hc-punk yang makin bermunculan. Dari permasalahan tersebut, penulis tergerak untuk membuat sebuah sarana media informasi untuk mengubah sudut pandang masyarakat terhadap music keras yang dirancang dalam bentuk zine dengan desain visual yang dapat diterima masyarakat dan konten yang ringan, jelas, serta dapat dipahami oleh masyarakat.
