OPTIMALISASI PERENCANAAN PENGGUNAAN BAHAN BAKU KERTAS BUKU NOTEBOOK SABANA DENGAN METODE MRP DI PT SIEM LESTARI

Optimalisasi adalah sebuah tindakan yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas suatu pekerjaan agar berjalan, dengan tujuan menghasilkan keuntungan yang besar tanpa mengurangi kualitas dari pekerjaan tersebut. Dalam hal proses produksi, optimalisasi penggunaan bahan baku dapat terwujud apabila proses perencanaan dan pengendalian produksi dilakukan secara baik. Kebutuhan bahan baku kertas merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam proses produksi order buku buku notebook Sabana, maka dari itu diperlukannya suatu metode dalam proses perencanaan dan pengendalian produksi untuk order ini agar kebutuhan kertasnya digunakan secara optimal. MRP (Material Requirement Planning) merupakan suatu metode yang digunakan untuk merencanakan kebutuhan bahan baku agar persediaannya dapat terpenuhi dengan sempurna dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang akan digunakan untuk proses produksi. Dengan adanya metode MRP ini, diharapkan kebutuhan kertas untuk order buku buku notebook Sabana dapat terpenuhi sesuai dengan permintaan untuk proses produksi, yang pada akhirnya terwujud hasil barang jadi yang optimal. Untuk metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah dengan metode studi pustaka, observasi dan wawancara. Adapun hasil dari penulisan ini menyatakan bahwa dengan metode MRP kebutuhan kertas untuk order buku notebook Sabana digunakan secara optimal dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan proses produksi.

Optimization is an action taken to increase the effectiveness of a job so that it runs, with the aim of generating large profits without reducing the quality of the work. In terms of the production process, optimization of the use of raw materials can be realized if the planning and production control processes are carried out properly. The need for paper raw materials is one of the important factors in the production process of Sabana notebook book orders, therefore we need a method in the planning and production control process for this order so that the paper needs are used optimally. MRP (Material Requirement Planning) is a method used to plan raw material needs so that the inventory can be fulfilled perfectly and in accordance with the needs that will be used for the production process. With this MRP method, it is hoped that the paper requirements for ordering Sabana notebook books can be fulfilled in accordance with the demand for the production process, which in the end results in optimal finished goods. For the method used in this writing is the method of literature study, observation and interviews. The results of this paper state that with the MRP method the paper requirements for ordering Sabana notebooks are used optimally and in accordance with the needs of the production process.
