PERANCANGAN BUSANA SIAP PAKAI UPCYCLE PADA BUSANA CASUAL (STUDI KASUS MINAR THRIFT SHOP)

The influence of fast fashion is driving a lot of textile waste in Indonesia. The trend of buying thrift clothing is gaining popularity as part of the movement to reduce the influence of fast fashion, but there are still challenges in turning thrift clothing into attractive and trendy clothing. As with the unsold thrift clothing at Minar thrift shop, many of the unsold clothing products from Minar thrift shop end up in the trash without any utilization. This research aims to produce an innovative upcycle d fashion design. The theory used in this research is qualitative theory. The researcher made observations with literature studies about upcycling, used clothing, and fashion trends in potential target markets. The author conducted research using the exploration method of applying the upcycle technique by combining two used clothes and changing the model from a shirt to a unique and attractive dress. Applying the Hasso Plattner design thinking approach through the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The conclusion based on the research that has been conducted is that the upcycling technique by utilizing unsold thrift clothing can be an alternative solution to minimize the amount of thrift clothing waste that is wasted. The result of the research is three sets of women's clothing with Sexy Casual style and Urban look for late teenage women aged 17-25 years.

Pengaruh dari fast fashion mendorong banyaknya sampah tekstil yang ada di Indonesia tren pembelian pakaian thrift semakin populer sebagai bagian dari gerakan untuk mengurangi pengaruh dari fast fashion, namun masih ada tantangan dalam mengubah pakaian thrift menjadi busana yang menarik dan trendy. Seperti halnya pakaian thrift yang tidak habis terjual pada Minar thrift shop, banyak dari produk pakaian tidak laku terjual toko thrift minar berakhir pada tempat sampah tanpa dilakukan pemanfaatan terlebih dahulu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan desain busana upcycle yang inovatif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori kualitatif peneliti melakukan observasi dengan studi literatur tentang upcycle , pakaian bekas, dan tren fashion pada calon target market. Penulis melakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan metode eksplorasi penerapan teknik upcycle dengan penggabungan dua pakaian bekas dan perubahan model dari bentuk kemeja menjadi dress yang unik dan menarik. Menerapkan pendekatan design thinking model Hasso Plattner melalui tahapan empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Kesimpulan berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan teknik upcycle dengan memanfaatkan busana thrift tidak laku terjual dapat menjadi solusi alternatif untuk meminimalisir jumlah sampah busana thrift yang terbuang. Hasil dari penelitian pembuatan berupa tiga set busana wanita dengan style Sexy Casual dan look Urban untuk wanita remaja akhir dengan rentang usia 17-25 tahun.
