PERANCANGAN ANIMASI 2D SIAGA TSUNAMI SEBAGAI MEDIA EDUKASI PEMBELAJARAN SISWA SD KELAS 3 MUHAMMADIYAH 02 MEDAN

Indonesia as an archipelagic country has many beaches that have the potential for natural disasters, especially tsunamis. One of the risk reduction strategies that can be done at this time is by providing educational lessons on tsunami preparedness regarding tsunami disaster preparedness, especially for 3rd grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 02 Medan with an age range of 7-9 years. The author's delivery of material uses 2D animation that is cognitively appropriate and is delivered clearly and attractively so that students can understand it well. The purpose of this 2D animation design is for the future students of SD Muhammadiyah 02 Medan to be able to save themselves if a tsunami occurs. There are several ways to collect data and process it into a data source in writing this Final Project, including Observation, Literature Study, and Interview. In the pre-production stage, the writer conducts research, determines story ideas, makes narratives, designs storyboards, and makes character, property and background designs. At the production stage, the writer begins to do asseting, animate scene by scene, combine all scenes, and start recording sound, backsound and soundtrack. In the last stage, namely post-production, the author begins editing by combining audio, review and revision, and then exporting. Furthermore, this Tsunami Alert 2D animation will be given in the form of a compact disc and displayed at SD Muhammadiyah 02 Medan.
