KESESUAIAN MUTU KERTAS AL – QUR’AN 50 g/m2 DI PT MACANAN JAYA CEMERLANG BERDASARKAN STANDAR NASIONAL INDONESIA (SNI) 1308:2010

Kertas Qur’an merupakan kertas cetak tipis untuk mencetak kitab yang memiliki opasitas tinggi sehingga dapat dicetak bolak balik. Pada proses cetak, Kertas Qur’an banyak menimbulkan masalah sehingga tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan hasil pengujian parameter mutu Kertas Qur’an, membandingkan hasil pengujian parameter mutu Kertas Qur’an terhadap SNI 1308:2010, dan mengetahui pengaruh hasil uji Kertas Qur’an terhadap proses cetak isi Al–Qur’an. Metode pengumpulan data tugas akhir ini yaitu Metode Studi Kepustakaan berasal dari SNI dan buku bacaan, Metode Pengujian, dan Metode Observasi. Pengujian parameter mutu Kertas Qur’an dilakukan berdasarkan SNI 1308:2010 kertas kitab yaitu pengujian gramatur, faktor bulky, derajat putih, opasitas, ketahanan cabut, penetrasi minyak, dan keasaman. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, Kertas Qur’an PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper mendapatkan hasil gramatur 49,68 g/m2, faktor bulky 1,23 cm3/g, ketahanan cabut >300 P.m/s, penetrasi minyak sisi halus dan kasar 23,16, opasitas 91,13%, derajat putih 58,39%, dan keasaman 9,93. Kertas Qur’an PT Pura Barutama mendapatkan hasil gramatur 52,15 g/m2, faktor bulky 1,20 cm3/g, ketahanan cabut >300 P.m/s, penetrasi minyak sisi halus 20,49 dan sisi kasar 26,50, opasitas 91,78%, derajat putih 54,67%, dan keasaman 10,26. Parameter yang sesuai dengan SNI adalah faktor bulky, ketahanan cabut, opasitas, dan keasaman. Parameter yang tidak sesuai dengan SNI adalah penetrasi minyak dan derajat putih. Nilai gramatur mengacu pada permintaan konsumen, sehingga banyak percetakan yang tidak menggunakan kertas dengan gramatur sesuai SNI namun persyaratan sifat lain yang berhubungan dengan proses cetak sesuai yang dipersyaratkan oleh SNI. Diharapkan dengan kertas yang lebih berat akan mendapatkan kualitas cetak lebih baik.

Qur'an Paper is a thin printing paper for printing books that have high opacity so that they can be printed on both sides. In the printing process, the Qur'an Paper causes many problems so that this final project aims to obtain the results of testing the quality parameters of the Qur'an Paper, comparing the results of testing the quality parameters of the Qur'an Paper to SNI 1308:2010, and knowing the effect of the Qur'an Paper test results. to the process of printing the contents of the Qur'an. The data collection method for this final project is the Library Study Method derived from SNI and reading books, the Testing Method, and the Observation Method. Testing of the quality parameters of the Qur'an paper was carried out based on SNI 1308:2010 paper books, namely grammage testing, bulky factor, whiteness, opacity, pulling resistance, oil penetration, and acidity. Based on the test results, PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Qur'an paper obtained a grammage of 49,68 g/m2, a bulky factor of 1,23 cm3/g, a pulling resistance <300 P.m/s, an oil penetration of smooth and rough sides of 23,16, 91,13% opacity, 58,39% whiteness, and 9,93 acidity. PT Pura Barutama Qur'an Paper obtained a grammage of 52,15 g/m2, bulky factor 1,20 cm3/g, pulling resistance <300 P.m/s, oil penetration smooth side 20,49 and rough side 26,50, opacity 91,78%, whiteness 54,67%, and acidity 10,26. Parameters according to SNI are bulky factor, pulling resistance, opacity, and acidity. Parameters that are not in accordance with SNI are oil penetration and whiteness degree. The grammage value refers to consumer demand, so that many printers do not use paper with grammage according to SNI as long as the requirements for other properties related to the printing process are as required by SNI. It is hoped that the heavier paper will get better print quality.
