PERANCANGAN DESAIN SAMPUL, TATA LETAK, DAN ILUSTRASI PADA NASKAH BUKU “SKINCARE ROUTINE FOR TEENS”

“Skincare Routine for Teens” is a youth information book intended for ages 12-18 years (boys and girls) that provides knowledge about the importance of maintaining healthy facial skin. The purpose of writing this final project is to explain the process of designing the cover design, layout, and illustrations in the book "Skincare Routine for Teens". To achieve this goal, the authors refer to the theory of Hendratman (2017) and the theory of Salisbury (2018). In the process of making this final report, data collection techniques were taken based on reference studies and observations. For work steps starting from pre-production, production, and post-production. In the discussion, the author explains the process of designing the cover design and layout by referring to the theory of Hendratman (2017), in which there are 6 stages which include looking for creative ideas, looking for information needs, creating a framework, data processing, visualization and production. For the illustration design process, refer to Salisbury's (2018) theory, in which there are 3 stages which include sketching, viewing on the monitor screen, and adding color and texture.

“Skincare Routine for Teens” merupakan sebuah buku informasi remaja yang diperuntukkan untuk usia 12-18 tahun (laki-laki dan perempuan) yang memberikan pengetahuan tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan kulit wajah. Tujuan penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk menjelaskan proses perancangan desain sampul, tata letak, dan ilustrasi pada naskah buku“Skincare Routine for Teens”. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penulis merujuk teori Hendratman (2017) dan teori Salisbury (2018). Dalam proses pembuatan laporan tugas akhir ini, teknik pengumpulan data yang diambil berdasarkan studi referensi dan observasi. Untuk langkah kerja dimulai dari pra produksi, produksi, dan pasca produksi. Dalam pembahasannya, penulis menjelaskan proses perancangan desain sampul dan tata letak dengan merujuk teori Hendratman (2017), di mana ada 6 tahapan yang meliputi mencari ide kreatif, mencari informasi kebutuhan, membuat kerangka kerja, olah data, visualisasi dan produksi. Untuk proses perancangan ilustrasinya, merujuk teori Salisbury (2018), di mana ada 3 tahapan yang meliputi membuat sketsa, melihat di layar monitor, dan menambah warna dan tektur.
