TINJAUAN PROSES FINISHING POND PADA KEMASAN CYCLOGNON MENGUNAKAN MESIN POND 150X

Packaging must give the best impression at first glance for consumers so that companies try to minimize defects in the packaging. Defects in packaging are caused by man, machine, method, and materials factors during the production process. Finishing is one of the packaging production processes. One of the finishing processes that has an important role in producing quality packaging is the pond process. Writing this final project aims to determine defects during the pond process and how to reduce packaging defects using105X pond machine at PT.Gayas Serasi Insonesia6hb. This writing uses a qualitative method by conducting observations and interviews directly with the operator. Problems that often occur are: dull blades, foam divider does not fit the folding area, paper delivery table does not match the initial design, and paper suction power is too tight. The types of defects that occur are; minor defects, major defects, and critical defects. Defects that often occur from these types of defects are major defects. Of these several constraints, the man factor is the most influential in the pond process. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the operator's understanding of the rules in carrying out the production process in order to minimize the same mistakes.

Kemasan harus memberikan kesan terbaik pada pandangan pertama bagi konsumen sehingga perusahaan berusaha meminimalisir defect pada kemasan. Cacat pada kemasan diakibatkan oleh faktor man, machine, method, dan materials ketika proses produksi. Finishing merupakan salah satu proses produksi kemasan. Salah satu proses finishing yang memiliki peran penting dalam menghasilkan kemasan yang berkualitas adalah proses pond. Penulisan Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui defect selama proses pond dan cara mengurangi defect kemasan menggunakan mesin pond 105X di PT.Gayas Serasi Indomesia. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan melakukan observasi dan wawancara secara langsung ke operator. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi yaitu: pisau tumpul, busa pembatas tidak sesuai dengan area lipat, meja penghantar kertas tidak sesuai dengan desain awal, dan daya hisap kertas terlalu kencang. Adapun jenis - jenis defect yang terjadi yaitu; defect minor, defect mayor, dan defect critical. Defect yang sering terjadi dari jenis jenis defect tersebut adalah defect mayor. Dari beberapa kendala tersebut, faktor man yang paling berpengaruh dalam proses pond. Oleh karena itu perlu pemahaman operator terhadap aturan dalam menjalankan proses produksi agar dapat meminimalisir kesalahan yang sama.
