LAPORAN TUGAS PERANCANGAN DESAIN SAMPUL DAN ILUSTRASI PADA NASKAH ANTOLOGI PUISI “POHON TUA”

"Pohon Tua" is a book that the author produces as a final project in the Publishing
Study Program. In making the book that the author created with the team, the
author has thought about what aspects must be conceptualized in making the book,
one of the main things is the cover design. In a book in addition to being a protector
of a book, it is also to add to the aesthetic value of each book that is created. In
connection with the process of making the book, the author is in charge of
visualizing the cover design and designing illustrations of each poem in the book
"Pohon Tua". In the design, the author describes the methods used in each
illustration by looking for information needs, creating a framework, looking for
creative ideas, data processing, visualization, and production. Based on the
discussion, the writer concludes that the visual purpose in the poetry script is to
attract consumers to interest in reading and make it easier for readers to be able to
communicate the text in visual form and in the making of a book it has stages such
as: Pre-production, Production, and Post-production.
