LAPORAN TUGAS AKHIR PERANCANGAN MOTIF KUNARA TERINSPIRASI DARI MOTIF BATIK KUJANG PENA PADA BUSANA WANITA UNTUK UMKM BATIK TRADJUMAS

The batik industry as a part of the creative economy industry requires development and renewal in order to keep up with the everchanging lifestyle changes in this modern time. Batik Tradjumas as a batik MSME and Depok batik center still have clothing products which are limited to batik shirts. Several batik motifs in Batik Tradjumas have not received much attention and interest due to the lack of exposure of the motifs and the lack of novelty since the launch of the motifs in 2009, one of which is the Kujang Pena motif. Fashion today is bringing wastra as one of the fashion trends in Indonesia Trend Forecasting 2023/2023 applied by many designers and the fashion industry. The implementation of batik with a modern concept as a theme is to maintain the continuity of batik in this modern era. The development of batik products requires innovation and diversity in order to compete in the market. The aim of this research was to develop the Kujang Pena batik motif and apply it to a womenswear collection. This research
was conducted using the Design Thinking Hasso-Plattner method which consisted of five stages, namely (1) empathize; (2) define; (3) ideate; (4) prototype; (5) test. The data was collected primarily through observation, interviews and
questionnaires. The results of this research are a fashion collection that is realized into three women batikswear featuring Kunara motif inspired by Kujang Pena motif which was designed in this research through motif stylization stage.

Industri batik sebagai bagian dari industri ekonomi kreatif memerlukan pengembangan dan pembaharuan agar dapat mengikuti perkembangan gaya hidup yang selalu berubah di era modern ini. Batik Tradjumas selaku UMKM batik dan sentra batik Depok memiliki produk busana yang masih terbatas pada kemeja batik. Beberapa motif batik di Batik Tradjumas juga belum mendapat perhatian dan minat yang banyak karena kurang tereksposnya motif dan belum adanya kebaruan sejak peluncuran motif di tahun 2009, salah satunya adalah motif Kujang Pena. Fashion saat ini mengangkat wastra sebagai salah satu fashion trend dalam Indonesia Trend Forecasting 2023/2024 yang diterapkan oleh para desainer dan industri fashion. Penerapan tema batik dengan konsep modern dilakukan untuk menjaga keberlangsungan batik di era modern ini. Pengembangan produk busana batik memerlukan inovasi dan keragaman agar dapat bersaing di pasar. Dilakukannya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan motif batik Kujang Pena dan menerapkannya pada sebuah koleksi busana wanita. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode Design Thinking Hasso-Plattner yang terdiri atas lima tahapan yaitu (1) emphatize; (2) define; (3) ideate; (4) prototype; (5) test. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan kuisioner. Hasil penelitian merupakan sebuah koleksi busana yang diwujudkan ke dalam tiga produk busana batik wanita dengan motif Kunara yang terinspirasi dari motif Kujang Pena yang telah dirancang pada penelitian ini melalui tahap stilasi motif.
