Proses Penyuntingan Mekanis dan Subtantif Pada Naskah Novel “Eknath”

The final project that the author produced is a romance book script that tells the love story of a band member and a veterinarian. In the preparation, the writer acts as a script editor. Based on the role in making the work, the author compiles the final project with the title “Mechanical and Substantive Editing of Eknath’s Novel Manuscript” with the formulation of the problem, “How is the editing process of Eknath’s novel manuscript”. The literature review that the author uses is Trim (2019), Eneste (2017), Ramdani (2019), Wibowo (2016), and Language Theory. To complete this final project, the author uses a descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of case studies and interviews. In the discussion section, the writer describes the stages of writing, such as the stages of editing, types of editing, linguistic theory, and aspects of editing. After a series of editing processes, the writer produces a product in the form of Eknath's novel manuscript which is expected to be read safely, comfortably, well, and ready to be distributed to readers.

Karya tugas akhir yang penulis hasilkan adalah naskah buku romansa yang menceritakan kisah cinta anak band dan dokter hewan. Pada penyusunannya, penulis berperan sebagai penyunting naskah. Berdasarkan peran dalam pembuatan karya tersebut, penulis menyusun tugas akhir dengan judul “Proses Penyuntingan Mekanis dan Substantif Pada Naskah Novel Eknath” dengan rumusan masalah yaitu “Bagaimana proses penyuntingan pada naskah novel Eknath?”. Tinjauan pustaka yang penulis gunakan adalah Eneste (2017), Ramdani (2019), Trim (2019), Wibowo (2016), dan Teori Kebahasaan. Untuk menyelesaikan tugas akhir ini, penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi kasus dan wawancara. Pada bagian pembahasan, penulis menjabarkan tahapan-tahapan penulisan, seperti tahapan penyuntingan, jenis-jenis penyuntingan, teori kebahasaan, dan aspek penyuntingan. Setelah rangkaian proses penyuntingan naskah, penulis menghasilkan produk berupa naskah novel Eknath yang diharapkan dapat dibaca dengan aman, nyaman, baik, dan siap disebarluaskan ke pembaca.
