PERANCANGAN MOTION GRAPHIC MENGENAI POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME TERHADAP WANITA USIA SUBUR

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) atau sindrom ovarium polikistik merupakan ketidakstabilan hormon yang terjadi pada wanita usia subur. Pengidap PCOS memiliki kadar hormon androgen berlebih yang dapat menyebabkan ovarium atau indung telur memproduksi banyak kantong-kantong berisi cairan yang mengakibatkan sel telur tidak berkembang sempurna dan gagal dilepaskan secara teratur yang menyebabkan haid menjadi tidak teratur. Kurangnya pengetahuan serta media informasi mengenai sindrom ini maka tujuan dari perancangan motion graphic ini untuk menyebarkan informasi mengenai PCOS agar masyarakat khususnya wanita dapat mengenali sindrom ini dan mengenali gejala sedari awal agar ditangani dengan cepat. Jika PCOS tidak ditangani dengan tepat dan cepat akan mengakibatkan sulit menjadi hamil (infertilitas), diabetes melitus, penebalan dinding rahim, obesitas bahkan depresi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan wawancara bersama narasumber dan studi pustaka, dan juga metode kuantitatif dengan survei kuesioner. Dari hasil kuesioner didapatkan hal-hal yang diingkan oleh responden yaitu informasi dasar mengenai PCOS dan pola hidup yang tepat. Video motion graphic dijadikan sebagai media utamanya. Karena, di era saat ini video berpotensi akan lebih cepat dan mudah untuk dijangkau secara luas yang dinilai efektif untuk memberikan informasi dan mengedukasi mengenasi Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Proyek ini juga dilakukan untuk meningkatkan awarness terhadap PCOS khususnya kepada wanita usia subur.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) or polycystic ovary syndrome is a hormone imbalance that occurs in women of childbearing age. PCOS sufferers have excess levels of androgen hormones which can cause the ovaries or ovaries to produce lots of fluid-filled sacs which result in egg cells not developing properly and failing to be released regularly which causes menstruation to become irregular. There is a lack of knowledge and media information about this syndrome, so the purpose of designing this motion graphic is to disseminate information about PCOS so that people, especially women, can recognize this syndrome and recognize the symptoms from the start so that they can be dealt with quickly. If PCOS is not treated properly and quickly it will result in difficulty getting pregnant (infertility), diabetes mellitus, thickening of the uterine lining, obesity and even depression. The method used is a qualitative method with interviews with informants and literature study, and also a quantitative method with a questionnaire survey. From the results of the questionnaire, the things that the respondents wanted were basic information about PCOS and the right lifestyle. Video motion graphics serve as the main media. Because, in the current era, video has the potential to be faster and easier to reach widely which is considered effective for providing information and educating about Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). This project is also carried out to increase awareness of PCOS, especially for women of childbearing age.
