PENYUNTINGAN MEKANIS PADA NASKAH NOVELET “SANDYAKALA” BERDASARKAN TATARAN BAHASA

The manuscript of the novelette "Sandyakala" really needs an editing process due
to the discovery of several errors in terms of presentation of the manuscript. The
purpose of writing this final project report aims to explain the process of
mechanical editing of the manuscript of the novelette "Sandyakala"based on
language level. The theory used includes editing aspects, types of editing, editing
perspectives, forms of editing errors, and editing stages explained by Saefuddin
(2021), Trim (2017), and Eneste (2017). In the editing process, several
mechanical errors were found in the Indonesian spelling of 88 errors, the choice
of words or diction of 15 errors, and the sentences of 14 errors based on the order
of presentation and presentation style which were not very complete and specific
in describing the storyline of the novelette "Sandyakala". After carrying out the
editing process, the writer concluded that after mechanically editing the
manuscript of the novelette "Sandyakala" can be more structured in terms of the
order of presentation and style of presentation in the manuscript so that it makes
it easier for readers to enjoy the manuscript.

Naskah novelet "Sandyakala" sangat memerlukan tahapan proses penyuntingan
dikarenakan ditemukannya beberapa kesalahan dari segi penyajian naskah. Tujuan
penulisan laporan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan proses
penyuntingan mekanis pada naskah novelet “Sandyakala” berdasarkan tataran
bahasa. Teori yang digunakan antara lain aspek-aspek penyunting, jenis-jenis
penyuntingan, persepktif penyuntingan, bentuk – bentuk kesalahan penyuntingan,
dan tahapan-tahapan penyuntingan yang dijelaskan Saefuddin (2021), Trim
(2017), dan Eneste (2017). Pada proses penyuntingan ditemukan beberapa
kesalahan mekanis yang terdapat pada Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia sebanyak 88
kesalahan, pemilihan kata atau diksi sebanyak 15 kesalahan, dan kalimat sebanyak
15 kesalahan berdasarkan urutan penyajian dan gaya penyajian yang tidak begitu
lengkap dan spesifisik dalam menggambarkan alur cerita naskah novelet
“Sandyakala”. Setelah melakukan proses penyuntingan, penulis menyimpulkan
bahwa naskah novelet “Sandyakala” setelah disunting secara mekanis dapat lebih
terstruktur dari segi urutan penyajian dan gaya penyajian dalam naskah sehingga
lebih memudahkan para pembaca untuk menikmati naskah.
