Abstract

The novel "Her Syndrome" manuscript was created by the author and team as a final project for the Publishing Study Program. This novel is classified as a teenlit novel since it depicts the lives of a high school student who has the psycological condition of impostor syndrome. The author discovers the necessity for a novel that addresses the theme of imposter syndrome. This is due to a lack of knowledge of imposter syndrome among adolescents. As a result, the goal of this final project is to explain how novel scripts that raise this issue are written in the hopes that the youth community can easily accept the information. According to Katyusha (2022), imposter syndrome is a psychological condition that occurs when a person is unable to admit the success they have achieved. The writing stages used to create the manuscript for the novel "Her Syndrome" are based on Leo's (2017) theory, which is based on the book Mencerahkan Bakat Menulis, which explain the five stages of writing, including (1) planning writing, (2) writing drafts, (3) revising drafts, (4) editing, and (5) publishing. In order to complete the stages of writing draft from Leo (2017), the author also develops intrinsic aspects based on Nurgiyantoro's theory (2018) from the book Teori Pengkajian Fiksi. The writing method used is narrative with literature study data collection techniques, questionnaires/surveys, and interviews. The final result of this final project report is a teenlit novel.
