LAPORAN TUGAS AKHIR PERAN PROGRAM DIRECTOR DALAM PROGRAM TELEVISI DOKUMENTER “ESTETIKA RASA”

ABSTRAK

Information is an important thing that contains messages to be conveyed, especially to the public. With reference to the function of television as a medium of information, education and entertainment, the author wants to provide an understanding to the audience about the process of making a documentary program that discusses about culinary with the author's role as program director. The purpose of writing this Final Project report is to find out how the role of the writer as program director in making the documentary television program "Estetika Rasa". In writing this final project using literature related to the work role of program directors, television, documentaries, direct cinema forms, and culinary. The data collection method that the writer uses is observation, literature study, and interviews. The author has completed his responsibilities as a program director for all production series starting from pre-production, production, and post-production, so that a television documentary program in the form of direct cinema with a profile genre entitled “Estetika Rasa” can be completed with a discussion of the story about the journey of a culinary expert to maintain consistency the taste of the special dishes in the tavern.

Informasi merupakan suatu hal penting yang mengandung pesan untuk disampaikan khususnya kepada masyarakat. Dengan mengacu pada fungsi televisi sebagai media informasi, edukasi, dan hiburan maka dari itu penulis ingin memberikan pemahaman kepada penonton tentang bagaimana proses pembuatan sebuah program dokumenter yang membahas tentang kuliner dengan peran penulis sebagai program director. Tujuan penulisan laporan Tugas Akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran penulis sebagai program director dalam pembuatan program televisi dokumenter “Estetika Rasa”. Dalam penulisan tugas akhir ini menggunakan kepustakaan yang berkaitan dengan peran kerja program director, televisi, dokumenter, bentuk direct cinema, dan kuliner. Metode pengumpulan data yang penulis gunakan adalah observasi, studi pustaka, dan wawancara. Penulis telah meyelesaikan tanggung jawab sebagai program director pada seluruh rangkaian produksi yang diawali dari praproduksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi, sehingga dapat terselesiakan program televisi dokumenter berbentuk direct cinema dengan genre profil yang berjudul “Estetika Rasa” dengan pembahasan cerita tentang perjalanan seorang ahli kuliner yang berusaha untuk menjaga konsistensi cita rasa hidangan khas di kedai nya.
