LAPORAN TUGAS AKHIR PERAN PROGRAM DIRECTOR DALAM PEMBUATAN KARYA DOKUMENTER TELEVISI "SWARNA NUSANTARA PADI HARMONI"

The purpose of writing this thesis is to find out how the role of the program director is in making the television program "Swarna Nusantara: Padi Harmoni" which takes a documentary format. A television documentary program is an information program that presents factual and actual information on an event by presenting it using audio, visual and graphical methods as information support. There are stages starting from program design in pre-production, production to post-production which are the final results of the program. This documentary is in narrative style and is presented with an expository type that fills in the moments of village traditions in Indonesia, history, and how the village interprets its traditions as part of this documentary with the aim that this documentary can introduce village traditions in Indonesia. The author as the program director is fully responsible for the work created because the program director leads, organizes, and realizes the storytelling from planning.

Tujuan penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran program director dalam pembuatan program televisi “Swarna Nusantara : Padi Harmoni” yang mengambil format dokumenter. Program dokumenter televisi adalah salah satu program informasi yang menyajikan informasi suatu peristiwa dengan fakta dan aktual dengan menyajikan menggunakan metode audio, visual serta grafis sebagai pendukung informasi. Terdapat tahapan mulai dari perancangan program pada pra produksi, produksi hingga pasca produksi yang menjadi hasil akhir program. Dokumenter ini bergaya narasi dan pembawaan dengan tipe expositori yang mengisi momen tradisi desa yang ada di Indonesia, sejarah, serta bagaimana desa tersebut memaknai tradisinya menjadi bagian dalam dokumenter ini dengan tujuan kalau dokumenter ini dapat memperkenalkan tradisi desa yang ada di Indonesia. Penulis sebagai program director bertanggung jawab penuh atas sepenuhnya karya dibuat karena program director yang memimpin, mengatur, hingga merealisasikan penceritaan dari perencanaan.
