PERAN PRODUSER DALAM DOKUMENTER TELEVISI "DIBALIK LAYAR"

Television is still one of the communication media that is in great demand by the people of Indonesia because television is a medium whose access can be said to be quite easy. Through television, the public can get information through programs aired, one of which is a documentary program. In Indonesia itself, there have been many documentary programs produced by private TV and national TV, but the theme raised tends to be more about the natural beauty of Indonesia. In this Final Project, the author acts as a producer in the documentary program "Behind the Scenes". The choice of this theme was based on the lack of a few programs that raised the theme of art in Indonesia. With the documentary program “Behind the Screen” the writer wants to better introduce the audience that there is a long process that goes through an art performance, and the writer hopes that the audience can appreciate a work of art more. In making this documentary, the author used interviews, observation, and literature studies to explain the role of TV documentary producers and make it the foundation for work on the pre-production, production, and post-production stages.

Televisi masih menjadi salah satu media komunikasi yang banyak diminati oleh masyarakat Indonesia dikarenakan televisi sebagai media yang aksesnya bisa dibilang cukup mudah. Melalui televisi masyarakat bia mendapatkan informasi melalui program – program yang ditayangkan salah satunya dengan program dokumenter. Di Indonesia sendiri, sudah banyak program dokumenter yang diproduksi oleh TV swasta maupun TV nasional, namun tema yang diangkat cenderung lebih mengenai keindahan alam Indonesia. Pada Tugas Akhir ini penulis berperan sebagai produser dalam program dokumenter “Dibalik Layar”. Pemilihan tema ini didasari oleh kurangnya sedikit program yang mengangkat tema tentang kesenian di Indonesia. Dengan adanya program dokumenter “Dibalik Layar” penulis ingin lebih mengenalkan kepada penonton bahwa ada proses panjang yang dilalui sebuah pertunjukan kesenian, dan penulis berharap jika penonton bisa lebih mengapresiasi suatu karya seni. Dalam pembuatan dokumenter ini penulis menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka untuk menjelaskan peran produser dokumenter TV dan menjadikan landasan dalam pengerjaan pada tahapan pra produksi, produksi, hingga pasca produksi.
