PERAN PROGRAM DIRECTOR DALAM PROGRAM DOKUMENTER TELEVISI SENI MISTIK “KUDA LUMPING SUKABUMI”

In making the final work of the Documentary Television Program entitled Art of Mysticism “Kuda Lumping Sukabumi", the author's role is as Program Director. The background for making this work entitled 'Art of Mystics' is that belief in mystical rituals is often considered deviant, but on the other hand rituals are a form of cultural preservation. The purpose of writing this Final Project is to describe the process of television program production and the obstacles that the writer faces at each stage of production. The methods used in this program are observation, interviews, surveys, and literature study. The literature review used is the theory of television, documentaries and program directors. The author's role as Program Director this time raises the theme of the Sukabumi Lumping Horse art, aiming to provide information and education to the audience. Not only that, this documentary program is also entertainment. The obstacle that the writer faces is the difficulty in conveying the message of a Program Director in a television documentary program so that the message can be well received and understood by the audience. The author can conclude that the role of a Program Director in making documentary programs is to be responsible for all aspects, starting from technical and non-technical. The end result of the production process of this Final Project is a Documentary Television Program entitled "Art Mystic: Kuda Lumping Sukabumi".

Pada pembuatan karya Tugas Akhir Program Dokumenter Televisi yang berjudul Seni Mistik “Kuda Lumping Sukabumi”, peran penulis sebagai Program Director. Latar belakang pembuatan karya berjudul ‘Seni Mistik’ ini adalah kepercayaan terhadap ritual mistik seringkali dianggap menyimpang, namun disisi lain ritual merupakan wujud pelestarian budaya. Tujuan dari penulisan Tugas Akhir ini adalah menguraikan proses produksi program televisi beserta hambatan yang penulis hadapi pada setiap tahapan produksi. Metode yang digunakan dalam program ini adalah observasi, wawancara, survei, dan studi pustaka. Tinjauan pustaka yang digunakan adalah teori mengenai Televisi, Dokumenter dan Program Director. Peran penulis sebagai Program Director pada kali ini mengangkat tema seni Kuda Lumping Sukabumi, bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi dan edukasi kepada para penonton. Tak hanya itu, program dokumenter ini juga sebagai hiburan. Hambatan yang penulis hadapi adalah sulitnya penyampaian pesan seorang Program Director dalam sebuah program dokumenter televisi agar pesan dapat diterima dan dipahami dengan baik oleh penonton. Penulis dapat menyimpulkan bahwa peran seorang Program Director dalam pembuatan program dokumenter adalah bertanggung jawab pada segala aspek, mulai dari teknis dan non teknis. Hasil akhir dari proses produksi Tugas Akhir ini adalah Program Televisi Dokumenter berjudul Seni Mistik “Kuda Lumping Sukabumi”.
