PEMBUATAN MURAL BERTEMA MEMBANGUN LITERASI DI POLITEKNIK NEGERI MEDIA KREATIF PSDKU MEDAN

ABSTRACT

The object of this final project is the creation of a literacy-building mural located at Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif PSDKU Medan. The mural measures 2.5 meters x 10 meters and consists of 3 wall panels measuring 2.5 meters x 3.3 meters each. There is an idea in the mural creation, which is to incorporate the flat design trend. The purpose of writing this report is to describe the process and determine the final outcome of the mural creation. The research methods used in the mural creation include observation, interviews, and literature review. The discussion in this report focuses on the concept and process of creating the literacy-building mural, utilizing the branding colors of Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif, namely orange and purple as the dominant colors. The process of manual and digital sketching for this mural creation utilized Adobe Illustrator CC 2019 software. The conclusion drawn from this final project report is to understand the process and final outcome of creating a literacy-building mural with the theme at Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif PSDKU Medan.

ABSTRAK

Objek tugas akhir pada laporan ini adalah pembuatan mural membangun literasi yang berlokasi di Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif PSDKU Medan. Mural tersebut berukuran 2,5 x 10 meter yang terdiri dari 3 panel tembok berukuran 2,5 x 3,3 meter. Terdapat ide dalam pembuatan mural yaitu memuat trend flat design. Tujuan penulisan pada laporan ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan mengetahui hasil akhir pembuatan mural. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam pembuatan mural meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Pembahasan pada laporan ini adalah konsep dan proses pembuatan mural membangun literasi yang menggunakan warna brand Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif yaitu orange dan ungu sebagai warna yang mendominasi. Proses sketsa manual dan digital pembuatan mural ini menggunakan perangkat lunak berupa aplikasi Adobe Ilustrator CC 2019. Simpulan yang diperoleh dari laporan tugas akhir ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana kah sebuah proses dan hasil akhir pembuatan mural bertema membangun literasi di Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif PSDKU Medan.
