Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal preventive maintenance interval for the TIDE MS400 slitter machine using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method. The slitter machine is used to cut jumbo rolls of laminated film into several smaller rolls. The main issues that frequently occur are damage to the Kain Velt and Flat Bladder components. The study begins with the identification of critical components through Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), which yields the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) for Kain Velt and Flat Bladder. Subsequently, the Time To Failure (TTF) distribution is tested using the Goodness-of-Fit method with the aid of Minitab 19 software, which shows that the Weibull 3-Parameter distribution is the most suitable. These distribution parameters are then used to calculate the Mean Time To Failure (MTTF), with the results showing an MTTF for Kain Velt of approximately 90 days and for Flat Bladder of around 46 days. Based on these MTTF results, the recommended preventive maintenance intervals are about 72 days for Kain Velt and 37 days for Flat Bladder, which is around 80% of the MTTF to prevent failure before it occurs. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menentukan interval waktu optimal Preventive Maintenance pada mesin slitter TIDE MS400 dengan Metode Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM). Mesin slitter digunakan untuk memotong jumbo roll film menjadi beberapa roll kecil. Permasalahan utama yang sering terjadi adalah kerusakan pada komponen Kain Velt dan Flat Bladder. Penelitian dimulai dengan identifikasi komponen kritis melalui Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), yang menghasilkan Risk Priority Number (RPN) tertinggi untuk Kain Velt dan Flat Bladder. Selanjutnya, dilakukan pengujian distribusi waktu hingga kerusakan (Time To Failure) menggunakan metode Goodness-of-Fit dengan bantuan aplikasi Minitab 19, yang menunjukkan bahwa distribusi Weibull 3 Parameter adalah yang paling sesuai. Parameter distribusi ini kemudian digunakan untuk menghitung Mean Time To Failure (MTTF), dengan hasil MTTF Kain Velt sekitar 90 hari dan Flat Bladder sekitar 46 hari. Berdasarkan MTTF tersebut, interval waktu Preventive Maintenance yang disarankan adalah sekitar 72 hari untuk Kain Velt dan 37 hari untuk Flat Bladder, yaitu sekitar 80% dari MTTF untuk menghindari kerusakan sebelum waktunya. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu dalam perencanaan pemeliharaan yang lebih efektif dan efisien di PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk. Divisi Kemasan.
