EKSPLORASI DURABILITY TEKNIK PLEATING BENTUK PAPER FOLDING TESSELLATION UNTUK BUSANA ANAK

Pertumbuhan fisik pada anak usia prasekolah terjadi sangat cepat. Pertumbuhan yang cepat menyebabkan masa pakai pakaian anak singkat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bentuk kain paper folding tessellation yang dapat menunjang masa pakai pakaiaan anak untuk busana anak. Eksplorasi yang digunakan adalah bentuk kain paper folding tessellation yang dapat menyesuaikan, melebar dan memanjang. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif eksplorasi dengan menggunakan model pendekatan hasso plattner terdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Hasil eksplorasi penggunaan teknik bentuk four folded tessellation untuk busana anak. Hasil produk adalah 3 look busana anak yang diproduksi berdasarkan tahapan Design Thinking dimulai dari analisis desain, membuat pola, membuat kain pleating, menyusun pola pada bahan, memotong bahan, menjahit, finishing, dan quality control. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik pleating bentuk Paper folding tessellation dapat menjadi busana anak yang dapat menunjang masa pakai busana anak usia 3-5 tahun dengan style arty casual.

Physical growth in pre-school children are very quickly. Rapid growth causes the lifespan of children's clothing to be short. The aim of this research is to determine the form of paper folded tessellation fabric that can support the lifespan of children's clothing for children's clothing. The exploration used is a form of tessellation folded paper fabric that can adjust, widen and lengthen. This research method is qualitative exploration using the Hasso plattner model approach which consists of 5 stages, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The result of the exploration is the use of the four-fold tessellation technique for children's clothing. The product results are 3 children's clothing displays which are produced based on stages of Design Thinking starting from Design analysis, making patterns, making pleated fabric, arranging patterns on materials, cutting materials, sewing, finishing, and quality control. So it can be concluded that the pleating technique in the form of tessellation folded paper can be used as children's clothing that can support the clothing life of children aged 3-5 years with an arty casual style.
