Abstract
Perkembangan game tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media hiburan, tetapi juga
sebagai sarana edukasi dan simulasi. Salah satu isu lingkungan yang dapat diangkat
melalui media game adalah restorasi terumbu karang yang berperan penting dalam
menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang aset
game 3D Coral Reef Restoration dengan menerapkan gaya visual stylized.
Pendekatan ini dipilih karena mampu menyederhanakan bentuk objek,
menggunakan warna yang ekspresif, serta menghasilkan tampilan visual yang
menarik, konsisten, dan mudah dipahami oleh pemain. Pengembangan dilakukan
menggunakan metode Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) melalui tahapan
initiation, pre-production, dan production. Hasil penelitian berupa aset lingkungan
pantai dan bawah laut 3D yang menerapkan gaya visual stylized secara konsisten
dan diimplementasikan ke dalam game. Evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner skala
Likert terhadap 33 responden memperoleh indeks persentase sebesar 95,39%
dengan kategori Sangat Baik. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan gaya
visual stylized pada aset game mampu menciptakan tampilan visual yang menarik,
konsisten, serta mendukung penyampaian konsep restorasi terumbu karang kepada
pemain.
Games have evolved beyond entertainment into effective educational and
simulation media. One environmental issue that can be introduced through games
is coral reef restoration, which plays an important role in maintaining marine
ecosystem balance. This research aims to design 3D game assets for Coral Reef
Restoration by applying a stylized visual style. This approach was chosen because
it simplifies object shapes, uses expressive colors, and creates visually appealing,
consistent, and easily understandable assets for players. The development process
employed the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method through the initiation,
pre-production, and production stages. The result of this research is a set of 3D
beach and underwater environment assets that consistently implement the stylized
visual style and have been integrated into the game. Evaluation using a Likert-scale
questionnaire involving 33 respondents produced a percentage index of 95.39%,
categorized as Very Good. These findings indicate that the implementation of the
stylized visual style successfully creates attractive and consistent visual assets while
effectively supporting the delivery of coral reef restoration concepts to players.
