Abstract

The advancement of information technology has encouraged the growth of
mobile-based collaborative services, including peer-to-peer goods lending.
However, non-consumptive goods lending among individuals is still largely
conducted conventionally, without a structured system that supports transparency
and inter-user trust. This study aims to design and develop PinjamAja, a mobile
application that facilitates the lending of non-consumptive goods among
individuals based on peer-to-peer sharing principles, in which owners and
borrowers interact directly through a system that mediates the lending process. The
Waterfall method was applied through requirement analysis, system design,
implementation using Kotlin and Room Database in Android Studio, and Black Box
Testing. The results show that key features, such as item categorization, loan
approval, transaction status updates, and Trust Score, function according to system
requirements, so that the application is able to bridge the interaction between item
owners and borrowers securely and accountably. Therefore, PinjamAja provides a
structured and transparent peer-to-peer lending platform that supports user trust
and efficient resource utilization.

Perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong pertumbuhan layanan
kolaboratif berbasis mobile, termasuk peminjaman barang antar individu. Namun,
non-konsumtif berbasis peer-to-peer sharing, yaitu konsep berbagi sumber daya
