ANALISIS PENGARUH UJI STATISTIK DRY BACK TINTA OFFSET TOYO 2035 RED TERHADAP KESTABILAN WARNA HASIL CETAK

Fenomena dry back menjadi masalah umum dalam proses cetak
offset, terutama pada tinta merah yang sangat peka terhadap perubahan
warna saat mengering. Hal ini dapat mengurangi stabilitas warna cetakan,
yang dipengaruhi oleh sifat tinta dan karakteristik fisik kertas yang
digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti dampak dry back pada
tinta offset Toyo 2035 Red serta sifat kertas terhadap ketahanan warna hasil
cetak. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi pencetakan sampel dengan teknik
offset skala kecil, diikuti pengukuran warna secara periodik selama proses
pengeringan. Stabilitas warna dievaluasi melalui nilai L*, a*, b*, dan
selisih warna (ΔE) menggunakan instrumen pengukur warna. Hasil
penelitian diharapkan dapat mengungkap keterkaitan antara sifat kertas
dan intensitas dry back tinta dengan perubahan warna, sehingga berfungsi
sebagai panduan untuk mengontrol kualitas warna dalam cetak offset,
khususnya saat menggunakan tinta merah.

The dryback phenomenon is a common problem in offset printing,
especially for red ink, which is very sensitive to color changes during
drying. This can reduce the color stability of the print, which is influenced
by the properties of the ink and the physical characteristics of the paper
used. This study aims to examine the impact of dryback on Toyo 2035 Red
offset ink and paper properties on the color fastness of the print. The
method applied includes printing samples using a small-scale offset
technique, followed by periodic color measurements during the drying
process. Color stability is evaluated through L*, a*, b*, and color
difference (ΔE) values using a color measuring instrument. The results of
this study are expected to reveal the relationship between paper properties
and the intensity of dryback ink with color changes, thus serving as a guide
for controlling color quality in offset printing, especially when using Red
ink.
