PENERAPAN TEKNIK LONG TAKE UNTUK MENCIPTAKAN PENGALAMAN IMERSIF BAGI PENONTON PADA PROGRAM REALITY SHOW “SUKSES GA SIH?”

ABSTRAK
Fly-on-the-wall reality shows present events naturally with minimal intervention from the production crew, relying on the talent’s improvisation so that the resulting actions and reactions are spontaneous. This poses a challenge for cinematographers in maintaining visual continuity and capturing moments in their entirety, especially when the use of conventional shooting techniques with frequent cuts risks disrupting the flow of events. This study aims to analyze the application of the long take technique in creating an immersive experience for viewers in the reality show “Sukses Gak Sih?”. The approach used is a qualitative method through direct observation during the production process, guided by the fly-on-the-wall style. The results of the discussion indicate that the long take technique is capable of maintaining the continuity of space and time, minimizing visual interruptions, and enhancing viewers’ emotional engagement with the events depicted. Additionally, this technique supports the natural spontaneity of the talent, thereby reinforcing the impression of realism. The conclusion of this study is that the long take technique is an effective cinematographic strategy for enhancing visual quality while creating an immersive experience in reality TV shows.

Program reality show dengan gaya fly on the wall menampilkan peristiwa secara alami dengan minim intervensi kru produksi, serta mengandalkan improvisasi talent sehingga aksi dan reaksi yang muncul bersifat spontanitas. Kondisi ini menimbulkan tantangan bagi penata kamera dalam menjaga kontinuitas visual dan menangkap momen secara utuh, terutama ketika penggunaan teknik pengambilan gambar konvensional dengan banyak pemotongan berpotensi mengganggu alur peristiwa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan teknik long take dalam menciptakan pengalaman imersif bagi penonton pada program reality show “Sukses Gak Sih?”. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif melalui observasi langsung selama proses produksi dengan berpedoman pada gaya fly on the wall. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa teknik long take mampu menjaga kesinambungan ruang dan waktu, meminimalkan interupsi visual, serta meningkatkan keterlibatan emosional penonton terhadap peristiwa yang ditampilkan. Selain itu, teknik ini mendukung alur spontanitas talent secara alami sehingga memperkuat kesan realisme. Simpulan dari penulisan ini adalah bahwa teknik long take merupakan strategi sinematografi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas visual sekaligus menciptakan pengalaman imersif pada program reality show.
