PENGELOLAAN DISCORD SEBAGAI SISTEM KOMUNIKASI REALTIME OLEH PROGRAM DIRECTOR DALAM PROGRAM TALKSHOW "LITERECORD"

This final project is motivated by the rapid advancement of digital communication
technology, which demands highly efficient and remote coordination in modern
broadcasting. The study aims to analyze and explain how a Program Director manages
the Discord platform as a real-time communication system to support the production
workflow of the Literecord talk show. The theoretical framework applied is based on
the professional role of a Program Director and digital group communication theories.
The production methodology involves direct observation of the production crew's
communication patterns, literature reviews, and visual production design. The results
show that utilizing Discord's voice and stage channels effectively facilitates responsive,
two-way communication among the Program Director, production crew, host, and guest
speakers across all production stages. In conclusion, despite technical challenges like
unstable connection and echo, the Discord platform proves to be a highly viable and
efficient real-time communication alternative to support digital talk shows.

Laporan tugas akhir ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pesatnya perkembangan teknologi
komunikasi digital yang menuntut efisiensi koordinasi tanpa tatap muka langsung
dalam proses penyiaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menjelaskan
pengelolaan platform Discord sebagai sistem komunikasi real-time oleh Program
Director dalam mendukung kelancaran produksi program Talkshow Literecord.
Pendekatan teoretis yang digunakan didasarkan pada konsep peran Program Director
sebagai pengendali teknis-artistik serta teori komunikasi kelompok digital. Metode
pelaksanaan yang diterapkan meliputi observasi langsung terhadap pola komunikasi
tim produksi, studi pustaka penyiaran, serta perancangan visual produksi. Hasil
pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan voice dan stage channel pada Discord
mampu memfasilitasi komunikasi dua arah yang sangat efektif di antara Program
Director, kru, host, dan narasumber di semua tahapan produksi. Sebagai simpulan,
meskipun menghadapi hambatan teknis seperti sinyal tidak stabil dan suara echo,
platform Discord terbukti dapat menjadi alternatif sistem komunikasi real-time yang
sangat layak untuk talkshow digital.
