PENYUSUNAN KONTEN EDUKASI KERUPUK OVO VEGETARIAN SIRIH CINA MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA WEBSITE

Perkembangan teknologi digital mendorong penggunaan website sebagai media
edukasi yang mampu menyampaikan informasi secara visual dan mudah diakses.
Tugas akhir ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih terbatasnya pemanfaatan sirih cina
(Peperomia pellucida) sebagai bahan pangan inovatif serta kurangnya media
edukasi digital yang memperkenalkan produk herbal lokal kepada Generasi Z.
Penelitian ini bertujuan menyusun konten edukasi kerupuk ovo-vegetarian sirih
cina “SiChips” menggunakan media website. Metode yang digunakan adalah
pendekatan kualitatif dengan Design Thinking Process melalui tahap empathize,
define, ideate, dan prototype. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui analisis
konten kualitatif, analisis jurnal, dan expert judgement. Hasil penelitian berupa
prototype website SiChips yang memuat konten Quick Watch, Why We Made This,
The SiChips Idea, From Leaf to Crunch, Fun Fact, dan SiChips Visual Gallery yang
didukung oleh visual produk, food styling, video singkat, serta informasi edukatif
mengenai sirih cina. Hasil expert judgement menunjukkan bahwa website mampu
menyampaikan informasi produk secara sistematis, visual, dan komunikatif kepada
Generasi Z. Website ini dapat digunakan sebagai media edukasi digital untuk
memperkenalkan inovasi produk pangan berbasis sirih cina.

The development of digital technology has encouraged the use of websites as
educational media that can present information visually and accessibly. This final
project is motivated by the limited utilization of Chinese betel (Peperomia
pellucida) as an innovative food ingredient and the lack of digital educational
media introducing local herbal products to Generation Z. This study aims to
develop educational content for “SiChips,” an ovo-vegetarian Chinese betel
cracker product, through a website. The research employed a qualitative approach
using the Design Thinking Process, consisting of empathize, define, ideate, and
prototype stages. Data were collected through qualitative content analysis, journal
analysis, and expert judgement. The result is a SiChips website prototype featuring
Quick Watch, Why We Made This, The SiChips Idea, From Leaf to Crunch, Fun
Fact, and SiChips Visual Gallery sections, supported by product visuals, food
styling, short videos, and educational information about Chinese betel. Expert
judgement indicated that the website was able to communicate product information
systematically, visually, and communicatively to Generation Z. The website can
serve as a digital educational medium to introduce Chinese betel-based food
innovation.
