PENERAPAN TEKNIK STORYTELLING OLEH PENULIS NASKAH PADA PROGRAM FEATURE SPORT QUEST

ABSTRAC
A feature program is a television format that presents in depth factual information while highlighting human-interest elements through compelling storytelling. In the production of the Sport Quest feature program, the scriptwriter is responsible for structuring the storyline so that it is conveyed fully to the audience. However, the challenges faced include the inability of the storytelling in feature programs to build a coherent narrative flow, a lack of personal narrative elements from sources, and a narrative focus that is predominantly on achievements without highlighting the emotional journey. To address these issues, the writer applies storytelling techniques by weaving facts, interviews, and observations into the narrative flow. In the journal article by I Made Fendy Agus Gunawan and I Nyoman Laba Jayanta (2024:355) titled “Innovative Learning Media Development: Improving Elementary Student Speaking Skills with Storytelling-Based Audiovisual Tools,” audiovisual-based storytelling is described as an effective medium for conveying information. The application of storytelling techniques results in a more coherent narrative and is able to foster the audience’s emotional engagement without compromising the authenticity of the information presented.

ABSTRAK
Program feature merupakan format program televisi yang menyajikan informasi faktual secara mendalam dengan menonjolkan unsur human interest melalui penyampaian cerita yang menarik. Dalam produksi program feature Sport Quest, penulis naskah berperan menyusun alur cerita agar dapat tersampaikan secara utuh kepada penonton. Namun, permasalahan yang dihadapi meliputi penyampaian cerita dalam program feature belum mampu membangun alur yang runtut, minimnya unsur naratif personal dari narasumber, serta fokus narasi yang dominan pada prestasi tanpa menonjolkan proses perjalanan emosional. Untuk mengatasi permasalah tersebut, penulis menerapkan teknik storrytelling dengan menyusun fakta menjadi cerita, wawancara, dan observasi ke dalam alur cerita. Dalam jurnal I Made Fendy Agus Gunawan dan I Nyoman Laba Jayanta (2024:355) yang berjudul “Innovative Learning Media Development: Improving Elementary Student Speaking Skills with Storytelling Based Audiovisual Tools”, storytelling berbasis audiovisual merupakan media yang efektif untuk menyampaikan informasi. Penerapan teknik storytelling menghasilkan penyajian cerita yang lebih runtut dan mampu membangun keterlibatan emosional penonton tanpa mengurangi keaslian informasi yang disampaikan.
